This night/game will always be special to me. 29th birthday and spent a relaxed night with my dad, having steak and watching a ball game over at the house. He was gone less than one month later, so I come back to this game to remember.
the greatest induction ceremony in baseball history . . . not ashamed to admit tears and goosebumps during this final All Star at Yankee Stadium I
One of the greatest nights in All-Star Game history.

Yogi Berra's ovation, at Yankee Stadium, should have been twice as loud and long. (this from a born and raised in Boston, Red Sox fan.

Amen sir, the same can be said for Ted Williams ovation in the '99 All Star Game at Fenway Park, & im.a born & bread Yankees fan!
Yogi.!!! Yogi.!!! I bet he can remember when they were calling his name over 50 years ago
BIG Doggie (Tony Perez )The RBI machine !!!all of those guys together were and they still really the best of the best
Baseball would be nothing if it wasn't for the men who came before. The game was built on their backs. I say thank you all for the games that made young boys dream of being like you.
Ernie Banks always wanted to play two games a day, he can now in the Field of Dreams
Anyone else laugh everytime they booed the Red Sox 💀
I saw all these guys live for this game. Wonderful players. Rod Carew was fabulous. The only other 3rd basemen they missed was Cletus Boyer. He had a better glove than Brooks but not the bat. I lived in NYC with Mays, Mantle and Duke Snider playing centerfield. I loved Cletus. May he Rest In Peace.

I believe that a criterion for inclusion for this event was to be a Hall of Famer. Boyer was not.
RIP. T.G.#19 THANK YOU, DAVE WINFIELD. SAN DIEGO PADRES
Simply Amazing! I only wish Koufax, Bench, Morgan, Ryan, Seaver, and Every Other Living HOF'er could have been there. Actually, there's more than 49 HOFers in Attendance: Jeter, Chipper, Ichiro, etc.

12:13 Matt Holliday would be back but in the current stadium as a Yankee in the 2010s

Notable names I didn't see: Sandy Koufax, Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver, Robin Roberts, Joe Morgan, Johnny Bench. I'm sure I missed a few that were HoFers at the time but didn't attend. Quite frankly, I think it'd been nice if they'd mentioned those who couldn't be there
Gary carter got a new york mets cap just to be sure
Willie be like, none of these guys can match me lol
I'm going to guess that either Willie Mays was a bit ill or was in a pretty bad mood that night.
A time where people were off there phones, and the players weren’t all about flash with the chains and shoes. A simpler time. And I’m 17 lol

Still can't believe they tore this Stadium down. They lost the mystic when they moved across the street. They should've just modernized it a little. no need to tear it down.
