It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

4.6L is 281 cubic inches, not 440. And the 440 was Mopar, not Ford.

Good video! I wanted Crown Vic when I was younger then I wanted dodge charger. Later on I decieded I want something modern and is reliable. Charger isn't reliable so I decided to buy a 2015 FPIS with 3.7 AWD. 79k miles. Best decision ever. No issues in past 11k miles driving. I pretty much drive it really hard and it handles like beauty!

Gotta say i drive a fully equipped crown vic as a daily and never had an issue of being seen as an ''Impersonator" So you would definitely be fine with a plain one especially now that they are gone from service a majority of places.

Very much region dependant. Here in police state USA they buy the absolute newest always so the Vic's we're gone more than two decades ago. But I've seen places with vics still in service so I can understand why people get different experiences on the Internet. Personally I get a lot more leeway but I think it's because it seems like a really old person car so they assume I'm 90 and can't see or react to anything lol. Not the same as the cop effect but wow it is nice to drive this car.

When I bought my last car, I wanted to get an ex police vehicle due to many reasons, just a couple being the maintenance always done on them, the heavy duty parts, and I love the way they look. I had to make a decision between a charger, impala, taurus, or crown vic. I ended up going with the crown vic because I love the way they look, I am 6'5 so I wanted something roomy, they are super comfortable, and I wanted a v8 as well. It is a 2008, I have put over 35k miles on it, have not had one issue with it. Gas mileage isn't amazing I mean its a v8 & the car weighs over 4000 pounds but its not horrible either. I drive pretty heavy footed most of the time and a decent bit of city driving - I normally average around 18-19 mpg. I love the fact that on the highway I can haul ass in the left lane, every single car gets over once I get behind them LOL (I still have the pushbar / spotlight on my car.) The AC in this thing will freeze me out even though where I live it frequently hits over 90 degrees Fahrenheit. It is not the fastest car for sure, but I love the way the v8 sounds & it has enough power for me. I had a luxury vehicle before the vic (leather heated/cooled seats, sunroof, GPS navigation, push button start, etc) but honestly I just love the simplicity of my vic & the fact that it is so easy to work on. I plan on keeping this car for years to come and have never once regretted buying it!

You created a long presentation describing the CVPI and ironically didn't mention the most common, three distinct features specific to those cars? #1 All Police package models have a 140 mph max speedometer. #2 They are equipped with dual exhaust, which the civilian LX sport models have as well. #3 the VIN code. Also, what about the rear axle codes/options? However you are a good public speaker and go at a good pace.
