I have been riding one of these for the last twenty years and am still totally in love with it! Perfect for our local gravel and rough twisty sealed roads. Ultra reliable, very comfortable, and sufficiently fast to loose your license on if that's what you want to do. Cheers, Mike, New Zealand

Hi..I'm looking at a 2006 model with just under 60000kms on it...worth considering as a cross continental overlanding bike? Top of my shortlist at the moment is a 2019-21 cb500x....thoughts?

I owned and rode a few bikes during my years but I can honestly say I was a happiest man on my 650 transalp. great bike

I had mine a number of years along with a couple of other bikes. 99% of the time I choose this bike as it's just so easy and comfy. Been the most reliable of my bikes to and cheap to run/insure. I'm 6ft and the height suits me fine 👍

I wish that was over here in Michigan. It would be a good garage mate to my Hawk GT.

I've had both together in the garage! Barely rode the Hawk as the Transalp was way more comfortable, especially on the poor excuse for roads that we now have in NZ. Hawk sold.

Rough transalp or any rough bike not worth looking at you will end up spending more than what you save on buying a good one Only my opinion 👍
