TOOLS NEEDED:
You'll need a Philips screwdriver, a flat-head screwdriver, a socket wrench with a 10mm socket, and a panel clip remover. We also recommend a cutting tool for the fender liner clips.
Hello folks! Thank you for stopping by to watch our video on how to remove your fender. This fender removal is pretty easy. We love the Toyota brand because they keep everything fairly simple when you need to fix anything on their vehicles. Fun tip, if you need to remove the fender, you also have to loosen the top pad, or almost completely remove it to get to the bolts underneath.
The top pad is covering up some bolts and nuts that secure the bumper retainer on the fender, or the bumper bracket. You pretty much have to take off all the bolts for the top pad. It's pretty easy but will link that video if you need it.
You want to start with the fender flare if you have one. It's a pretty simple part to remove, just a few screws. Next, you want to remove the mud-flap, that covers the bottom of the fender liner. There is a clip on the backside of the mud-flap but ours was missing. Taking off the fender liner is probably the most difficult thing to do for this fender. Normally, you can pop them out to reuse, but this particular clip is pretty hard to take off. You could probably just yank out the fender liner and hope some of the clips don't break, but they will more than likely remain in the fender. We highly recommend that you just cut these and replace them with new clips. You'll save so much time just replacing them. After the fender liner is removed, just focus on taking off all the bolts for the fender. Remember, the top pad is covering the last of the last bolts and nuts to remove for the fender. Loosen the top pad or take it off completely if you are replacing both fenders. You'll have to pull out the bumper retainer or bumper bracket to fully remove the fender. The bracket can become brittle over time, so it may break.
That is it! You removed your fender and are ready to replace it with a brand new one. Just follow all the steps above in reverse. Good luck and thank you for watching!

Thanks For the detailed breakdown, its extremely helpful. But honestly about halfway thru my Lazy side said to just repair the bondo and repair, spray-paint without removing/replacing it. So I'm ordering the OEM color match spray-paint and will mask and sand it down. Will not look as good as a new one, but that's what lazy gets . I did bookmark in my Toyota Sequoia body repair list. Thanks!!

Hello. I am unsure about the question. This Tundra is without the hood scoop and I think the hoods are for looks more than a real functional hood scoop. Please let me know if I can clarify. Thank you for watching!
