Good video sir ! I found that removing the two bolts that thread into the actual cylinders then sliding out the 'spacers" also freed up a ton of space .. other thing to note is make sure you have a very decent long tiny but very strong flat head screwdriver for one of the jets that is seated deeply (if you plan on removing or replacing or cleaning it (I was shocked how tight it was screwed in) actually way too tight in my opinion as I was close to mincing the groove on the head !

I know this is an old video but you need to have at least the snorkel base part on the airbox. Otherwise you are drawing air around the entrance to the air filter instead of through it. Also, without the snorkel you WILL need to rejet.

Old guy trick. Heat up the intake boots with a hair dryer for a couple minutes. WAY less frustration.

On the forums people say don't touch that throttle position sensor if you don't have to. I took mine off before I realized maybe I shouldn't have. Have you had trouble with the bike not running right after taking it off and putting it on? Or is there something you have to do to make sure its set correctly? Apparently it can be moved slightly from side to side to effect timing. I had no clue, I got the special tool and took mine off. Now I'm worried I messed something up. : ) I just bought a 2007 Bonnie for cheap because it had been sitting for 3 years with gas in the tank and in the carbs.

No problems i guess. Haven't heard from the guy. (No news is good news?) I just put it back the same as I took it off.

@@RandomGarageUSA I just watched a video on it. That switch can be adjusted using a multimeter (there's instructions on line) but if the bike was running good, probably didn't need it. I just tested mine and it seems fine...even though I took it off and put it back on. Sometimes people on the forums are alarmists. True, it's better to leave it alone if you don't have to... unhook it from the wiring harness rather than the carb, but it's not the end of the world if you do.

@@TheVonbond 2007 was the last year for carbs on the triumph then they went to fuel injection. I own one so the dealership told me that.

Not clear why you didn’t drain the float bowls via the drain screw on each bowl ? It’s recommended to drain each float bowl before you lay a bike up for the winter. Place a shop rag below each carb to catch the fuel in the bowl. The green residue is due to the ethanol in the fuel.
