This is dedication. I'm going the dorman split boot method for $20. I used that method on my Sebring outer CV boot years ago. Worked well for thousands of miles after I zip tied it down.

Great Video but a few points. In Honda manual it points out a couple things not mentioned here. The 3 round bearings and the spider need to be marked for their locations, as they need to be reinstalled back in the original locations. Here is what it says: 4 - Make a mark on the rollers and spider to identify the locations of the rollers on the spider, then remove the rollers. 5 - remove the snap ring. 6 - Mark the spider and driveshaft to identify the position of the spider on the shaft. 7 - remove the spider. Wish I had read this before doing the job, guess we will find out what happens. Good luck

I highly recommend using torque wrenches. lower strut --> ~145ft-lb and axle nut ~240 ft-lb

Looks easy. I just need time and to get the 36mm socket. Hopefully I will not have to much trouble. Thank you for the video.

Buddy, those bearings only needed to be whipped down if you spray brake cleaner on it and it gets inside they will eventually wear out from dry rubbing due to the traped thin out grease inside of the seal of those bearings. Just saying.

First mistake, you don't need to remove the ball joint from the lower control arm. Just remove the two bolts holding the strut, then remove the cv from the hub.

How did you hammer the axle out? I heard the hammering but didn’t see where you placed it

An easy way I mistakenly removed it is by applying pressure to the bottom of the disc brake once the control arm is out of the joints on the frame side. That might pop out the spline from the inner cv joint exposing the ring. I don't recommend doing it.... but its possible.

Hit on the axle not on the bolt. $3 lesson I learned... had to buy a new axle bolt. Thanks rock auto
