Just tried the Battery /Click test and YES, solved the problem. A/C Relay replacement fixed the battery drain. Canadian Tire wanted to perform an entire ac system replacement (over $2000 job for my elderly mom). Brilliant, quick $20 self-fix -- THANK YOU so much!!!

Exact description of what is happening with my 2009 CRV, I recall that knocking sound. This happened after I went through a car wash and had an undercarriage wash. I believe that it shorted out the clutch and burned the relay shut. Does my theory hold water? no pun intended

This may be my problem too as the problem started after I had just had my AC blower motor replaced. I have been disconnecting the negative battery cord when I park up as no one seems to have any idea what it is till I saw this today.. When I reconnect it, there is a little spark but no click. Does the click only happen when the positive terminal is disconnected/reconnected?
