It was a huge rarity to win an individual event and come overall last. Ross did it twice. My dad used to say of him 'You get the feeling he would be a serious contender if only he could lose the belly', but somehow I think that was just how he was made, and losing the belly would mean losing all his power.

Great uploads. These guys got to travel the world essentially doing "sports days" like they were back at school, but for the big boys. Seen some amazing places and met some amazing people. Not a bad life considering!

Pfister done over there. His group had 3 guys you'd expect to challenge whereas on past performances group 1 and 4 only had one dead cert each.

I used to think this was the same train wagon they used in 2001, but it's just a similar one

Wool is amazing. Also, it's not plastic. My skin likes it a lot better and there is no micro plastics in the water that comes out of the washing machine (that one time i do actually wash it) I also like it a lot for the office. I tend to smell quickly, not when i wear wool though. I'm only still looking for some good office-casual wool pants.

I'm not hardcore strongman fan but would a modern strongman crush these classic competitions?

WSM never suited Ross, he was an incredibly strong static man, but his mobility was clearly lacking but he was very, very strong, hence he got 3rd place at the Arnolds a much heavier event and even though Pudzianowski was a phenom in WSM he got nowhere near the same success in the Arnolds.. ..different strokes for different folks

Screwed? He wasn't even close to qualifying. Even if they gave him the 4th log, he was slower than several guys, wouldn't have magically put him in the final.

Cheaper Besides that it's a really shitty location with no strongman tradition, no interested local scene and absolutely awful conditions for the athletes. Just television being cheap
