All those below who say you don't have to remove the exhaust are talking rubbish. I have a 2003 E320 & it is impossible to get access to the top engine mount bolt because of the exhaust manifold. This is the best way to change engine mounts on a V6 engine & this guy is absolutely correct!!!!!

I had watched several videos on how to tackle this job with several videos suggesting different methods. I soaked the exhaust bolts in pb blaster the day before and decided to go with exhaust removal version. Everything went smooth, all exhuast bolts came out without issue. job took me 2.5 hours and im no mechanic. I could see exhaust bolts getting stuck being a real pain but if they come off with ease, id do it this way again.

Thank for the video bro. I had to show my boss this to prove to him that the exhaust has to come off to make my job easy!

U did too much extra work I work for Mercedes on the passenger side we remove the alternator on the driver side just disconnect the steering knuckle and jack the engine up. Most time u don't want to disturb the exhaust

So what you are saying is it is possible to remove the both mounts from top ?

@@aslanmammadov2230 no.the driver side have to remove from below one u disconnect the steering knuckle and put to the side you have access to both bolts once you remove both bolts jack the engine up about an inch and you can slide the mount out next to the exhaust manifold

This is not the 3.2l engine this is the 3.0 v6. the 3.2 is an inline 6 cylinder engine.

You are mistaking this for a diesel version. It is 2003 model E320 Gasoline Engine.

NO you DON'T have to remove the exhaust 😂 and the bottom bolt is 13mm broo 😂😂
