@@LehewTech when you bypass the starter relay can you leave it like that? I bypassed it and it started but no relay I put I'm we LL start it please help

So Lehew i have an 01 civic lx 1.7 non vtec and intermittently im getting a starting issue is sounds like the starter is cutting in and out when key is start position and it is grinding on flex plate because of it i believe. Its like if someone were to crank a car over while engine is on but my car hasnt engine started yet. what does it sound like is possibly the problem or going on? Thank you for your time again

Finally someone who has a 03 I Have an 03 civic ex 1.7 4door could you help me out locating the main relay location for it under the glove box my blue relay has a total of 5 pins but the harness where it goes only has 4 connecting cables for fuel pump also where is the MAIN RELAY control for it Do you know?

Great information man in my civic as soon as I turn the key on to start the car there is a flicking noise in the blue relay behind the glove box and lights on the dashboard are turning on and off like if there's a short somewhere at first I thought it was the starter because some times it will start and other times it would take a few tries do I replaced the starter and didn't fix the issue, any idea wht could be?thanks

my 03 civic....has power at the ignition an my starter works...but my starter either isnt eengaging the the flywheel i think....cause every time i got to start al u u hear is the starter spining...can u gave me any clue

Hi! Where is the starter cut relay that sends the automatic signal to the starter motor? My car is exactly the same of it and it stops recognizing the two keys and the starter motor doesn't start too. All the lights on panel work but the green key light stays blinking.

I sow that when I take off the starter relay (the brown one) the green key light keeps blinking on panel but now the starter motor works.

I have a 2003 Honda Civic automatic. When I turn the key I get power but it won’t crank or anything. When I pull on the brake pedal it starts. Any advice?

You pull on the brake? I have the same problem. But sometimes wiggling my steering wheels gets it to start

Should the starter relay pins have resistance on them? Mine are showing 103 when I use the Ohms setting.

I'm not well versed in this but know a bit about electronics. I'm guessing that is normal. He said in the video that energizing the relay connects the two points. That said, there should be some resistance until the relay gets energized (12V from the battery), in which case the resistance should drop to 0ohms.

@@jeremybrandelik4109 thanks. I was looking for what might be sapping the battery if something was out of sorts, but in the end it was a dying starter battery. Ended up not reaching the right voltage while the vehicle wasn’t running.

I tried to restart it would not he said electrical

The blinker works, door chime works, headlight works. What is the brown color relay behind the glove box on my 2002 civic ? I search and search and keep getting different info.
