Hello, very nice car. how traction at low revs. is it enough?

I had one of these . The door handle on the drivers side broke.. a common problem , The water bottle for the washers leaked and despite a new rubber fixer it still leaked . Problems with warning lights couldn't be traced by a garage and when the alternator went it cost me six hundred pounds to fix which is an eye watering amount . It also used a lot of petrol. All round a nice car to drive which gets respect but annoying numerous faults which are very very expensive to fix , Liked it when I had it but wouldn't buy BMW again

I completely agree with you Stephen. Although mine didn't have as many problems as yours. The warning lights were the most annoying. One day a light would be on, the next day it was off - couldn't understand it. It didn't like the summer either as it would set the alarm off. I had it for 10 years and sure do miss it, especially the beast of an engine when it started. The new X5's are ugly. They've made it too friendly, its not eye-catching. Whereas the 2000-2006 looked brilliant with the beast look! - Thats my view.

Are these BMW x5 4wd? Whey they call all wheel drive but on the insurance lists come as 2wd?

how much you pay for insurance for this? regards

tiptronic it's audi's automatic gearbox, bmw has steptronic, the guy is doing a review but doesn't know the name of his transmission
