2002-2009 Toyota Camry upstream AFR oxygen sensor replacement!
In this video, we replace the upstream AFR (oxygen) sensor on this 2004 Toyota Camry!! It was throwing a P2238 and had a noticeable surge at idle.

I appreciate that!
Will replacing this sensor help with fuel consumption?
What if the code persists after changing that sensor?
My check engine light just came on for the same sensor (which I'll be changing tomorrow) but its do funny i changed the bank 2 a couple weeks ago. However i love my 2003 camry its still in good condition inside out👌🏽

I have to change mine, was it easy?
Ok, so what's the trick in UNPLUGGING that dang connector? thx
Can anyone tell me if I had a check engine light on for an o2 sensor problem, but after I reset it and did nothing to fix it, it’s not came back yet? Is that more likely a connector issue then versus the o2 sensor itself?
loved your video
I’m confused is this not a o2 sensor? I have for and stopped at auto zone and it read 2 are bad at 186$ each
I have a Question i live in California, my 2003 camry with a 4 cylinder, the AFR is on top of the exhaust manifold, and would it cause the car to die at stop lights, but im not sure which one to get. And i changed the 02 sensor, behind the Catalytic converter, under the drivers seat, is there one in-between the two
Hey thanks for the vid. Where'd you buy the part and what is the part number?
I wish you would’ve showed us how you disconnected the top connection. I’m having issues getting mine off
Part number?
I agree disconnecting the battery first is overrated, If you disconnect the positive terminal first, one slip of your wrench could send a direct short to the ground, which can be very dangerous. Its possible that you could experience a huge spark, the wrench could melt in your hand or the battery could even explode!
Great video .makemore videos i love my camry le. 2002 .4cylinder
Nice video,Are you still open to auto led lighting review? We would like to send our product to do a review 😊
Which bank ??? Which sensor ??? Part number???
@SEsGarage

It’s a four cylinder-only one bank. Sensor location is in the video description, and part number will depend on your emission type
Did you need to disconnect the battery?

Not necessarily! It’s never a bad idea to, though
What size is the socket ?

An o2 sensor socket is a universal size. If you were using a wrench it should be 7/8 if I remember
Air flow sensor the same as o2 sensor??
@SEsGarage

Airflow sensor would be the mass air flow sensor
