@@ALKUKES The only thing to look out for on the W210 chassis is rust. If you find a rust free one with regular oil changes made its gonna last a long time. Unless someone has modified or made poor repairs of course...

Then of course there are some small things that will eventually need to be taken care of. For E55 with the M113 engine: Leaking valve covers and oil filter housing seals very common if high milage, PCV hoses getting rock solid with time, transmission oil service is good to do (mercedes said it was filled for life during these years), for facelift E55 the radiator could potentially leak coolant into the transmission oil cooler and mix. Other than I would say nothing unusual will become a problem. I would argue the driveline in these cars are one of the best mercedes ever made. The M113 engine in particular is a very simple yet powerful. The transmission is very tough as well.
