Same issue. Easy fix was to remove the spring loaded connector and burnish the brass end. Alcohol on a Q tip to the bottom of the socket to make sure it gets a good connection. And lastly open the spring back up a little. Perfect!

There are little pin holes on each side of the wheel where you stick a pick in and push a clip and pop off one side at a time. Kinda vague but there are a couple vids that explain better than me.
