Best era. Today’s NASCAR is pretty rough.
I'm so glad that this has been preserved on the internet. I was 7 when this race occurred and didn't remember much of it except for the ending of the race. 23 years later and I'm still a fan, thank you NASCAR.
I was there with 8 of my employees to see my MAN win what would be his last victory and its a memory we'll NEVER FORGET i miss this era and my all time favorite driver DALE...........RIP.
I love it when B.Parsons, says how did he get through all those cars!!

The 2000 NASCAR season was Dale Earnhardt's last season.👍
I remember watching this race live with my brother. We were die hard Earnhardt fans. We couldn't believe how this race ended. Total domination...
Even all of these years later, this finish is still unbelievably exciting...

The Gen 4 restrictor plate aero package was the best by far.
Funny how Dale Sr hated this rules package.
Grown men racing. I still enjoy it, but Now we have the sponsored teenager 500. I really like William Byron but I can never look up to him like I did these men.
It's cool to note that we had differing gears back in this race. I think NASCAR should go back to allowing teams to use different rear-end gears at tracks. Puts an emphasis on fuel efficiency and could be interesting for the viewers.

Dale Jr taking it to the apron when he got loose prevented a massive wreck. Nowadays guys would just wreck each other rather than save the rest of the field

It’s crazy how much different the sponsors were then compared to now. Miss when you could recognize the sponsor and how it was usually a product or fast food place.

I was at Universal Studios F L. hanging out and stopped by a "nascar cafe" just in time for the big e. round up. Not a fan of the big e but that was just AMAZING!
I think this wicker bill aero package for speedways has the best racing package in my opinion..3x3 each row

Dave Marcis leads lap 2 for his final nascar lap led. Pretty cool that it was under green and not during a pit cycle.

🏳️🌈📺📼🏎️🧰🛠️🔧🪛🎙️🏆🏁💡🧢📻🎤📷📰📹📱💎 This race 1 day after my 13th birthday on October 14th 2000 on Saturday & this race on October 15th 2000 on Sunday. I was so lucky to watch NASCAR races on TV before or after my birthday. Whenever at Talladega Superspeedway, Martinsville Speedway or other race track.
What if sr. Was still racing. 70+year old still kick in ass. J.J. Was lucky,he never raced dale sr.. Would not have been so lucky.ask Jeff.
I miss the old days,but,today's drivers have power everything. Brakes,steering,and better air condition. Let today's drivers drive a older car if they still are available. Find out out who is a driver.
The only way those chevys could keep up with the Fords is with those tiny spoilers. But hey everyone knows nascar always gave the chevy teams an advantage.
