Awesome man, It's a good site with a lot of good guys. It's one of my favorite forums.
badass car
Definitely get lowering springs, greatly improves the car's appearance in my opinion. If you can afford it, go with Konnis shocks, they're the best out there for the F-body. SLP shocks are good, but I didn't notice much of an improvement from the stock ones.
Those nice ss wheels.... they look like the stock rims on the 98 z28..... the ss ten Spock are nice ss wheels
POWER windows. Good one!
i have an auto now and no complaints, the manual.... Couldn't feel clutch takeup at all and it seemed to change points, felt like work and ended up sucking. Rowing through the gears was fun though
Ive switched from a Mustang to a Camaro, best decision ever made. Only down side is the Camaro came with ugly ass 22" wheels want to get rid of them but got no funds -.-
nice one...
What's funny is that these are anything but super rare. 8,900 SS models produced in 2000 alone.
I got the bilstein shocks on my Camaro, can't say there is much of a difference between those and the stock decarbo ones.
i want one jus like that
I think im gonna trade in my automatic mustang for a stick shift. I dont know if ill get another mustang or a camaro but its definitely gonna be a stick i just wish i didnt listen to my pops when he said get an automatic
It is an SS man. Basically the SS is just an upgraded version of the Z28. Same engine and Transmission. Only differences are Emblems, hood, spoiler, wheels, and I think some minor differences in the computer. I don't think he's saying it's rare because it's a Z28/SS or anything. I think he meant that since these cars aren't made anymore they're rare. I'm not sure though, but it is just an SS.
Wasn't trying to argue man. Originally my point was that it's an SS and the Z28s and SSs have the same LS1 motor since you asked what motor is in it. I agree an SS is an SS and a Z28 is a Z28. And I wasn't trying to start anything about the differences between them. I was just trying to help out so no one came on and starting acting like an ass, you can go on LS1Tech and Camaro Forums and check if you want. Sorry if I came off wrong.
What is the UltraZ package?
hurt shifter is awsome man..... automatic aint fun at all. but i do admit automatic i easier and you dont have to worry about replacing the clutch and yeah your right its easier for track but if your a hot roder Manual is the only answer
I was just saying from 98 to 02 the Z28s and SSs have the same gear ratios and the only real differences are cosmetic.
are all those types of chevy camaros are 2dr...just asking......................im thinking of becoming a street racer my new hobbie thing so i need to know i found the body kits and specs to upgrade and soon tuned so i would glad to know if someone responds
Cloth seats in a SS?
Depends on if its your daily driver or not, if it is stick with the automatic....My Trans Am used to be my daily driver until I got a gas saver, and my mom lives an hour away, shifting down and going back through the gears got annoying as hell.
if the stick shift sucks like my old 2000 camaro z28 then you will regret it, even with hurst short throw shifter it sucked ass. Couldn't feel the clutch at all, I now have a 2002 z28 auto and it's 10000x nicer. Plus at the track it's much much better.
"Theres a door here"
@Thegr8penetrator guess you dont know anything about SS , but that cars production for the year only made 45,971 of those cars with those options, i just looked it up, its not super rare ,,,,,,but by far rare your welcome for the correction
you call that tint
pfft it is to me i want too become a street racer
They have the same rear gear ratios man and if there is a suspension upgrade I don't know about it. But I do know that they have the same rear gear ratios. Automatics came with 3.23s, 6 speed manuals came with 3.42s! You can background check the vin on this car and it is 3.42 rear gears. My 99 Z28 has 3.42s as well. And don't freak out man, no need for 10 exclamation points. It's an SS. Misinformation and mistakes happen everyday.
FOR SALE ?
Paint might be in good condition, but there are scratches and swirl marks EVERYWHERE in that car!
It's actually an SS they do have them clothe and the ss isent faster then the z28 it's the same exact thing and they actually make around 348 hp
Why did he tell you to get an auto?
i did XP
@Thegr8penetrator 10-4
"My 99Z28 has the same blabla" lol but is not SS!
its a sin to switch from a mustang to a camaro that goes both ways
you must also want to see your car crushed by the police, and to be put in jail. because thats what happens to street racers.
bet my 98z28 has less miles
SS z28? Those are 2 different cars buddy
