2000-2005 VW Passat Windows, Trunk release Doesn’t work! Problem solved!
Non of the windows worked on my 04 Passat. No clicking or anything happened. Comfort access module gone bad. Relatively easy to fix. It does not require reprogramming. You can simply buy used one and replace it.

It is called Comfort Module

Best thing to do is to put the comfort blokk (module) into the dashboard behind the fuse box. I did and no problems.

With out the water tight case, it is not needid in the dash
