This is arguably THE MOST emotional song from her. I don’t imagine it can be done by any other singer in the same way Taeyeon can convey. Just purely masterpiece

Absolutely ! Her voice delivers this song like no other... the lyrics paired with her voice is just enough to make me tear me up EVERY time I hear it

Fun fact: Time Lapse was a gift from Nell's Kim Jong Wan because he really liked Taeyeon's cover of the band's song "Time Spent Walking through Memories". He liked the cover so much that he actually allowed Taeyeon to officially record it and put in the album (My Voice) as a bonus track (CD only). Afaik, this is the first time he has allowed an official remake of the band's song. Fun fact #2: Every year there is a fan survey ranking fans' favorite Taeyeon songs. Time Lapse has always been in the top 5 since it's release!

I’m totally with you on this one. Not only does “Time Lapse” have all of those elements you discussed, but it is a heart-wrenching lyric that Taeyeon pours herself into. She has sometimes cried when she sings this live … and I am often pushed close to tears when I hear it.

You gonna like the song more after you watch it live, and i recommend the 's concert performance as it was the best live of her of the song. Time Lapse is the #1 Taeyeon song for me even after all these years, and it's saying a lot since she has an impeccable discography. I always get goosebumps especially when I hear it live 😭 Also there's yearly Taeyeon songs award where we vote for her best 10 songs, and Time Lapse won for several years including last year, if I recall correctly. This song is special, and the live performance is even more so.

Timelapse is a masterpiece, hearing it live was magical..it made my 1st concert experience even more special😊

Kim Jong-wan (of the group Nell) wrote Time Lapse and gave it to TaeYeon after he heard her cover one of his songs titled Time Spent Walking Through Memories. He was so impressed with her ability to express the range of emotions associated with lost love. I felt her emotions when I first heard Time Lapse, but I did have to see the English subs to fully understand her message. The Korean phrase: "gyesok nal ullyeo" (you always make me cry) is etched in my brain. 😭💔

I'm forever thankful to Jongwan for gifting Taeyeon this masterpiece bcoz normally with such an amazing composition you'd be selfish to release it yourself, but he really wanted this song to have the rightful owner

This song always makes my cry, I can't listen to it, is so good and beautiful, but I can only listen to it when I am alone in my house because with the last part I always cry, every single time

You have to watch this song in live it’s hit different. I have watched her in concert this song changed my life.

Every song on that album is amazing, some more than others but definitely amazing overall :)

It’s literally the ultimate fan favorite song at this point. When there are votings for “best Taeyeon song” or “your most favorite Taeyeon song”, this song will always be in the contention for #1 (and mostly win). Also, it’s the ending song for her last concert tours in some countries (with one other song that has yet to come up), so it’s a very special song.

If you like this musical style you would really like Nell. He makes music like this and I actually got to know Nell before Taeyeon so seeing her collaborate and then cover one of his songs...was heaven. "Ocean of Light", "White Night" and "Run" are my favorites from Nell. Even if you don't react to his music, really you need to just check out his music.

She should do this kind of band music

One of my favorite Taeyeon song next to Fine. Just so happy I heard this song live when she went here in Manila. Seeing and hearing her live is just so unbelievable. I didn't even record any video, good thing my husband was with me, but when she sang Fine, even he stopped recording and just watched her ^_^

Time lapse is a great song but it disturbs me that in the end the synths are put more front than Taeyeons voice. I don't get it. Someone has lost his right mind in that recording session. I think it's the Taeyeon song that differs the most between the studio and live versions because of that. After live versions when you have really heard her singing well when she gives her all in the end of the song the studio version sounds frustrating because Taeyeon voice is lost somewhere in the middlle of the sound wall. Still dont get it why. But it is definitely a song that goes together with Taeyeon exctremely well. Epic.
