I can listen to Taeyeon sing the Seoul telephone directory and be perfectly happy. One of the few singers that can reduce me to tears on a regular basis. Through the 3 full studio albums and ( I think ) 8 mini-albums she's released, she hasn't put out a single bad song.

Ever since YT algorithm fed me some of your reactions I knew you'd cross paths with Taeyeon eventually and I'd enjoy witnessing the collision quite a bit. She's the leader of the group that dominated kpop for near a decade and a lot of groups that are popular right now (BTS, BP, Stray Kids, Twice, Itzy, aespa and so on) have members that are hardcore fans of SNSD or Taeyeon personally. Dreamcatcher's Dami is a huge Sone and MMM's Moonbyul literally cried on national television when she got to meet Taeyeon recently, then went ahead and liked 600+ pictures of hers on IG in a matter of an hour. Blushing is not that bad in comparison. Taeyeon may look like a shy little bean but she actually is a very big deal in the industry. INVU is a good choice for a lover of synth, not just the title track but that whole album. It has a very nostalgic and timeless feeling to it. Out of her 3 full albums that one leans in retro synth direction the most. Typically I'd say she's more known for her melodies than hard hitting production. Her bsides are stunning ("Blue", "Time Lapse", "Gravity", "U R", "Drawing Our Moments" are examples of that and she has many more of the similar caliber).

Kpop idols are still looked down upon in western countries as they are seen as artificially created by entertainment companies. This might be true but isn't this becoming usual standard in US and European music industry equally ? However Korean music business has yielded such fantastic artists that can easily compete with the most famous western top stars, that it is a shame, that they don't get more participation in western radio stations. Having seen beautiful elf Taeyeon performing at her concerts is changing your perception of western singers. She is absolutely awesome !

Excellent reaction! I’m not gonna lie. I actually literally choked up a little watching. Partly because of being completely envious of virgin ears to Taeyeon’s vocal beauty. I’m so blessed to have listened to Taeyeon for several years now but am often jealous of those getting her discography dropped on them and watching awe spread through their beings. With so many fantastic vocalists throughout Kpop Taeyeon, for me, with her, imho, impeccable vocals coupled with her, also imho, flawless beauty, sparkling personality, and infectious humor ranks in the highest levels for idols. Taeyeon has been my favorite singer singer I first heard her voice. You definitely have to check out her MV for I ft Verbal Jint. It's her solo debut song outside of Girls' Generation. Also please watch the full version of Time Lapse!!! It's soOOOO GOOD.

She is idol of idol of idols ‘TAEYEON’

TaeYeon is so genre versatile. She does Pop, R&B, OST ballads and more. Her vocal texture and control bring my emotions to the surface every time. I've been following her for years and she finds ways to elevate her game without losing her original charm and appeal. I still don't understand much Korean or Japanese (yes, she learns some of her songs in Japanese for concert tours there), but even without Eng Subs she conveys an emotional message. I could listen to her sing (or just talk) for hours. 🥰 I highly recommend watching one of her concerts. Always live bands and dancers. She always sings live and usually has a backtrack of her own background vocals and adlibs. If you need to break it into 3 or 4 songs at a time to fulfill other duties, then do that. "what Taeyeon is about"? Pure talent and hard work. Countless of idols became idols because of her (including Moonbyul from Mamamoo) and the legendary group she's in Girls' Generation. Check out Fine, Something New, Baram x3 (B side) and so many more. INVU is her newest release. Sad fact about Happy. The song was supposed to release earlier than it did but her father passed away right before it's release so it was pushed back.

CD version is one thing, Live version is another thing, Live performance with BANDS is an ANOTHER thing when it comes to Taeyeon

I don't think its a coincidence that when SNSD (girls generation) slowed/halted promotions and activites around 2012-2014, thats when my lack of content made me eventually find mamamoo. so in many ways, Taeyeon (my ult of ults) is the reason Im a big mamamoo fan. If you want a suggestion I REALLY like Taeyeon's "Begin Again 3 - Slow Motion" cover of Karina's (not to be mistaken with Aespa's Karina) song. One of the most beautiful sounds ive ever heard in my life. You should watch it on your spare time, if you don't plan to make a reaction video of it

Taeyeon is another soloist who I adore; her discography is filled to the brim with beautiful songs. She is the leader and main vocalist of the super iconic girl group "Girl's Generation". They debuted in 2007 and were one of the first Kpop groups to get extremely popular, and are probably the starting point of Kpop seriously spreading outside Korea (among other groups). She debuted as a soloist in 2015 with "I", and has released a lot of music since then (all bangers). Can't wait for you to check out more from her, and be prepared for some requests as well!

I am forever grateful to Taeyeon and her amazing vocals. Without her having gone solo, I would have missed out on even more than I already did. She really opened up the world of Music for me. :)

Slight correction: She _used to be_ the leader of SNSD. They said about a year ago (on Knowing Bros) that they changed it so that not all burden is on one person, and started rotating leaders monthly; at the time of that recording, Yoona was "the leader of the month".

I love yourrr reaction, thank you...🎉🎉🎉 taeyeon is really amazing. But I recommend listening to videos of her performance in concert because her emotions is so much stronger in her performances in concerts. Time lapse was my least fave in her song before but after I watched one of her vids from her concert performnace it became my favorite. The emotion that she put in while singing it and the way she sings it will make you feel her emotion. The bridge part of time lapse is the best part of the song.( on live because she put so much emotion in it.

I am not absolutely sure how she became known as 'King' Taeyeon but nobody disputes it. There are rumors of how it got started, like somebody trying to type 'Kim Taeyeon' but their 'smartphone' auto-corrected to 'King Taeyeon' and nobody bothered to correct the gaff (so far as I know, just a rumor but a fitting one). Things like that. Obviously, absolutely an EARNED title for this AMAZING vocalist. She has earned it many times over. Luv her!
