When I was a kid we had cats dogs and horses.I was kind of obsessed with my cats and would go to elementary school.and talk about them.A girl came up to me once and petted my arm and told me I was just like a cat.My nickname was CATS.I was very proud to be like my cats😊
Cats are so worth spoiling. They are a wonderful source of comfort.
I love their meows.
she does like the slow blink or squinting.
I just feel soo bad with the laser. I feel like im tricking my cat to chase something he'll never catch or understand. One thing i noticed with my cat like my old dog i used to have, i receive lip licks for approval or appeasement. If i ask my cat if he wants something, a lot of times i get the approval lip lick
My baby likes the feather wand ok, but he prefers toys on the end that he can really bite into when he catches it (which I encourage him to do)!
My cat absolutely has no interest in food/treats-dispensing toys. He could not figure out the first one and ignores them now.
The domesticated cat and dog are the greatest gift our ancestors ever gave us.
I do all of these except the interactive feeding. I make up songs for each of my cats. I have an old cat that is a love sponge (Scooter Flypie Spunkmyer) when we’re inside the house. But when I see him outside, he’s like “no, mom, not here” when I try to interact with him.
I adopted a 17 year old cat last year. I am trying to learn more about what to do/not do. She loves to be stroked, but sometimes she will nip me. What am I doing wrong?

I just adopted a 15 year old cat. One challenge of adopting a senior is not knowing how they were raised (or perhaps neglected or abused). It’s not that your’e doing anything wrong per se. Cats can be overstimulated by prolonged petting. This can result in a bite, but usually this is just a warning nip. Continue, and you’ll get the real deal bite.😾 My cat will go from purring to tail twitching. That’s a signal in her case. And if I persist in petting next comes a warning nip. If I ignore that it’s knives out and that old cat has a T-Rex jaw!😼 As you get to know your pets temperament and personality it gets easier and gradually the bond between you deepens. Initially , my cat would not let me touch her paws. I wanted her to get used to it knowing that I would have to eventually trim her nails. Now she lets me grab and squeeze her paws and I get away with it. I doubt she likes it, but I developed enough trust so she at least tolerates it. But over stimulation varies from cat to cat. You’ll figure it out.😺

You are not necessarily doing anything wrong. A nip can be just a playful expression of affection from a cat. My old (tamed) wild cat will grab my hand in his paws and lick it, nip or play-fight it... not always that welcomed as my skin is not so resilient now... When I first "tamed" him he would BITE good and proper - draw blood from two or three tooth holes. I used to grade the bite on a scale of 1-10. 🙂Glad to hear you adopted an older cat, well done, you deserve respect and kindness ♥

@@user-mc9qh9xc6vsometimes a nip is a lovebite .
well my old cat didnt like to take foods from our hands - he prefered we laid it down for him to take. And that was so for all of us so it wasnt him just dont "liking" one person - he liked us all (and he ADORED my brother) - but eating or even taking treats from our hands was not even on the list of thing he might do...
When I used the LASER pointer, I would lead it into one of her plush toys so she could catch that and work out whatever she had to work out.
Boop .☝️
No cat in my house to practice those 20 things. 😢 I miss having a cat-shaped friend.
I have a male tabby and a flame point Siamese kitten and both of them watch me and lay on my lap
my kitty HATES boops!
My cat boops my nose

I also believe cats are bosses of the house and humans 🤦🏻♂️& I don’t care 😂
