It is so funny - most of the time, my little Kitty is somewhere around, even if I do not see her. And when she sleeps on the floor - she is always on a direct line of intrusion. When we go on walks - checking our territory, not joking - she is always around, letting me take the lead but on the side in the bushes. Another cat - GUARD POSITION. Another human - let me handle it. Cats not caring about their humans?`NICE TRY - totally not the truth. They are friends.

Oh my goodness, I am so grateful and full of joy I rabbitholed (hoping this is proper use of this word) upon Wise Animal. Generally, I do not take notes watching KZread; however, my notes are going to help our relationships. I just brought a new boy into our home. The boys are smelling smells they have never smelled before. The boys will be happy homemates when it works for them. Awareness and respect of boundaries are truly deserved towards all beings. Thank you ❣️

This video is total garbage, and whoever did this doesn’t know anything about cats. Cats don’t see people as a ‘boss’. Far from it. Pretty much everything here is the opposite of what cats are like, how they behave, what they think of people. I’m glad I skimmed through it and didn’t waste my time. 😂🤣

My cheesecake doesn't like boops he looks to lay up on me and sometimes kneed me and drolls on my arm or leg. He doesn't like toys he likes When I wave my hand under the covers I try to use thick covers his teeth and nails are sharp 😂😂😂😂 I Love my cheesecake

Love bites should've been mentioned. My dad's last cat used to do them to me and I always reacted like she was trying to hurt me, or would if I let her keep going. I didn't understand until years after she died that love bites were a sign of affection. She also kneaded my admittedly ample stomach too. I didn't mind that, unless my dad decided to poke "fun" at it.

My little buddy is a beautiful black cat with big green eyes. He loves playing with me. One day he accidentally scratch me that drew blood. He was so heart broken 😢that happened. He immediately come over and kicked the scratch until it was all clean.😂 I love that little fellow. ❤

This is rubbish! My cats bring me gifts cos they think im a terrible hunter lol. Not cos im the boss. They constantly sleep on my spot on the couch. My cats don't see me as the boss. I'd be honoured if they thought i was an equal 😂

When I used the LASER pointer, I would lead it into one of her plush toys so she could catch that and work out whatever she had to work out.

From personal experience, and books I've read, and from most every other cat video here on KZread, cats do NOT see their caregivers as the "boss". They either see you as an equal or a friend (sometimes not even that). Also, when a cat exposes his belly, they are not inviting you to rub it. Most cats do not like their bellies rubbed (only some allow it). Trying to rub most cats on their belly will likely get you bitten or scratched. But it is a sign of trust when they expose their belly. Each cat is different and only a few of them enjoy humans touching their belly.

I do all of these except the interactive feeding. I make up songs for each of my cats. I have an old cat that is a love sponge (Scooter Flypie Spunkmyer) when we’re inside the house. But when I see him outside, he’s like “no, mom, not here” when I try to interact with him.

Yes it is a nice video. And of course cats are more intelligent than most humans think. But please don't exaggerate their intelligence. Because several cat owners will be disappointed. Don't get their hopes to high. Most of my cats did not like their toys, or at least not for long. Most cat toys were neglected. My first cat was not interested in toys, but he liked the game we played. And yes he understood the game. We went Ninja, when he got on my back, he was the winner, if I touched him first, I was the winner. And yes he could open a door. And he always knew that he was safe on my shoulders, yes quite impressing. But my second cat was scared of everyone and everything. The only toy he liked to play with was a stuffed mouse , without tail or head. And most of the times he could not find it back (that's were I came in). Nevertheless I loved her very much. And than her son... If there was a chance that he could get his paws between a door, than it happened every time. But I must admit after 2,5 years he became the Alpha (bully) cat... and knew how to seduce me, by walking like almost a dog next to me (on foot) when dinner was served. Then a red cat came to me, the sweetest adult cat, but it took him years to enjoy toys. And even than it were paper wads. Than my parents died (about 13 month after another) and their cat came to me. He immediately liked the red cat and the the female cat loved him too. My first cat had no problems with him... only Ollie (the than Alpha cat) had problems with him... but he had problems with all cats by then. A few years later another cat came to me. He hated me, he hated my cats... but he liked the house, the garden and the hard chuncks. Now I have only two cats left (the others passed away... mother and child were not gifted with good DNA... the other two became 13 and 15 . But the only smart things they learned is that they always have to lie in a sort of bottle neck, to make the other cat uncomfortable to pass them. Sorry for the long writing. But personally I love to cats beïng cats. I think cats should not be 'the new dogs.' If they want to learn new tricks, that is okay... But do not start an competition between cats and dogs!

So what your saying is the cat runs the house it's not yours anymore, maybe that's why dogs appreciate you more, better yet don't have any animals in the house, the old lady had a cat that was declawed ,never had any problems in life, and the furniture never got tore up,and now the cat and the old lady are both gone 🎉
