This 20-minute indoor walking workout will help improve your cardiovascular health by getting your heart rate up with exercises that work your entire body including your legs, glutes, core, and upper body. Perfect for seniors and beginner exercisers. There are about 2400 steps in this video.
Marching or walking in place is the foundation for this workout. Fun dance moves mix things up. These exercises will also work on your balance and coordination, which is important to prevent falls, the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries among seniors.

    I started your 20-minute walk last week. So far, I only missed one day. I am 80 years old and was not brought up with exercise and I really genuinely dislike to work out. So I took what I thought would be the shortest and easiest workout to do. I still struggle to turn on my iPad in the morning but I am proud when I have done the 20 minutes, thanks to you. I will graduate to one of your other programs once I am fully competent with this one. Thanks again to you and your inspiring mom.

    Same here...I had a fracture in toe finger 3 months back...but wearing shoes and having a walk makes my finger pain...but your moves didn't make me so struggle and have pain ...at the same time I had sweated a lot...

    Today is my first day and I’m 58 years old and haven’t been active for a very long time. Weight gain didn’t help. This was great and watching your mom do this inspires me to do this too. Feels great and plan on doing this workout at least once a day. Thank you so much.

    Dear Active Mom and Daughter, Thank you so much for your series of videos. A year ago, I could run, skip, dance like a kid, then I took a bad fall and broke my leg bones just above my ankle. I am 76 years old, and lost a lot of ground in muscle mass, strength, coordination, breathing capacity. I found your videos this week, and they are just perfect for where I am at. I can already tell that I am getting stronger and more coordinated. I love how you two interact. Great support for each other, lovely.

    I love this! So happy I found it. I started it just 3 weeks ago. I am 64 years old and would rather walk in place during many days of bad cold weather in the Northeast. I love that it is not just 20 minutes of walking in place. such a variety with the 4 different sets (done 2x each) - the 20 minutes fly by! i started out with the 10 minute walking in place for several weeks. I love the mother and daughter team. I smile a lot during this due to their friendly voices. I do this every day before I leave for work - I didn't think I could do it - no time, etc. but I found the time, now if there is an occasional day I can't do it, I hate the feeling that I didn't do it! THANK YOU!! If anyone is hesitant to try it don't be. you will love it.

    SO glad I have discovered you. I am 89 years old and have done at least one of your three walking workouts every day. Love the banter between you and your mom. I walk AT LEAST 6,000 steps EVERY day. Have gone79 days without missing my 6,000+ steps, more often 7,000 or 8,000 steps a day. What I don't do with you I do outside no matter what the weather.

    First try at this 20 minute walking adventure. Honestly, I added dance movements to spice up the leg work, including accompanying innovative arm moves, adding more fun to an already great routine.     I am 50, but have been chronically ill for about 10 years. About the only exercise I can tolerate is going for walks, so now that it is winter, I always struggle with what to do since it is too cold to walk outside. This video is exactly what I needed!     This is fabulous, I haven't stretched or done any aerobic exercises for years and despite having lots of rescue dogs I am stiff and fused. I do your stretching segment first and then this - I'm 60 this year but fractured my arm earlier this year so only want gentle exercises and this is exactly what the doctor ordered. Thank you so much, I love watching you and your mom is an inspiration.

Working with rescue dogs is not easy and you certainly have not be sitting around on the couch everyday!     Just love you ladies. Glad i found a exercise that works with my needs. Yesterday, I felt so good after warm up and 20 minute walk. I painted my door in my apartment and painted extra 4 doors. You mother and daughter rocks. This really helps me😅

    Good afternoon Miss Iko and April, I wanted to let you all know that you all have been helping me alot. I have not fallen any more. Earlier this year when I went to my Primary Care Doctor I showed him your KZread. He told me to keep up the good work. So I wanted to Thank you all very much. I even have my best friend doing the exercises. I have osteoporosis. My Rheumatologist said that maybe some of these exercises may help me. I also wanted to let your Mother know that she reminds me of my Mother. My mother passed away in 2016. My mother was very energetic. So was my Father. He passed away in 2000. I even have my 3 cousins doing your KZreads. I pray for both of you. God bless you all.

    Yep this has been really great the 10 min is also good. I’ve had a few medical issues and this has been the perfect get back into the groove workouts. Your explanations are great and your mom is a hoot. Just got my mother in law engaged in the hand exercises to hopefully help with carpal tunnel. Also enjoy the posture one wish you’d take us through the whole rotation if that exercise. Keep them coming.

    I am 70 yearsold and did your 20 minute and 15 minute workout this morning - could not get outside for my 4-mile walk because of storms.These are great and so motivating. My husband has Parkinson’s but the walking videos are easily adaptable for someone who uses a walker but needs to sit in a chair while excercising. He does chair yoga, but will love your videos when he can’t get outside for a walk.Thank you!!!!!!

    I knew nothing about exercise and had no interest in it, then my church needed someone to fill in with a Senior citizens group that meets once a week and they do exercise. I was asked to try leading the ladies and after I reluctantly accepted the challenge, I found your channel and let me tell you, I love you and your mom's routines and so does my group.     After doing the warm up exercises, I would do the 10 minute walking workout, but today I went to the 20 minute walking workout and I did it! I didn't know I had the strength or stamina to finish it or ever keep up with you young ladies. But I did and I am so proud of myself. Even my bad knee didn't stop me from doing it.     I did the beginner’s exercise the other day and I need a little challenge so I started this 20 min walking exercise and I feel good.     My doctor warned me that if my cholesterol didn't improve by my next blood work, I would be but on high cholesterol meds. Thanks to you, 3 months later, my cholesterol not only improved, it's now normal! I'll be keeping up your videoes. They are doable, don't leave me feeling nauseous, easy to make into a habit i actually enjoy, and best of all, they actually work. I'm so happy because I dreaded that medication after hearing so many bad side effects. I am really beginning to feel like I like myself and not so ashamed. I can pick up my toddlers and not feel like I'm going to have a heart attack.

    That walk was super awesome. I loved the pace that it was done by. I'm in my 70's and I found it very beneficial for me to do. GREAT TEAMWORK!!! I plan to incorporate it everyday for me. I've had 2 knee replacements and hopefully it will help me heal better.

    I am SO Happy I found your exercises on KZread! I go to the UNC Cancer Rehab exercise 3 mornings a week and needed exercise for the other 4 days. I've tried other programs before and they were either too easy or too hard. The 20 min is just perfect and I will do the warm-up prior to this next time. I'm looking forward to adding more time and more of your other exercise routines. I'm 76, still very active but need to drop some weight and move more. THANK YOU.

    I love this work out! I'm 76 with back & hip issues (that I'm working with professionals on) I could only do 10 min the first time but today did the whole thing! It's pretty cold where I live and while I try to get out when I can, this is perfect for when I can't. Thanks again.

    I really like your walking workout because your music is soft, and you don't do a lot of pep talking during the exercises. Some teachers are cute with all their enthusiatic pep talks, but I prefer your quieter setting. You and your mom's interaction is sweet, and encouraging to others, no doubt.

    Good video ~ I love the fact your mom exercises with you. What would be helpful is stepping in time to the music. It would make it easier to get a rhythm going.

    I want to say thank you for your encouragement in keeping to this exercise video. I have been aimlessly trying to find a workout for an almost 72 year old (me), that would not be too taxing. Not only that, but I LOVE you guys!

    Discovered your videos a week ago and have completed a different workout each day. Love the casual format and you and your mum's banter. Im 57, have arthritis and degenerative disc disease, have a desk job and am a reluctant exerciser, however lm enjoying the walking format particularly as we're approaching winter in Australia now and the opportunity to walk outdoors is limited at the moment. Thank you!

    GREAT workout for seniors! The only thing I'd like to ask is if it's possible to do a warm up & cool down in the same video. Also, I'd like to suggest that cool down be a bit longer for each stretch. I found myself rushing through the stretches which I ended up doing on my own. Other then those little suggestions, I really enjoy doing these walking routines with you both. This one is my favourite so far! Thank you😍

    😅Thank you ladies. I am 60 years old. This exercise have helped me tremendously. I used to walk with a limp and it’s going away! Doing 12 hours shift jobs sitting down and not exercising can make your joints lazy.
