Oh blimey, it was a real highlight of my childhood in the 80s - during different repeat runs it was shown on Saturday and Sunday nights... Though from what I recall Ch4 also ran repeats on weekdays during the mid-90s too. Though, only from Emma Peel onwards. I never saw any Cathy Gale as a kid.

I discovered both The Avengers and The Prisoner from when C4 showed them around this time.
Pedigree Chum advert we loved great adverts after 40 years.
