No mention of wearing a bike helmet back in those days 🤣 Great advert and memories I had a Striker
Dire remake. Not even a remake. Mortimer is NOT an actor and boy it shows. Fox is wooden. Reeves is OK. How was this ever made?
4:58 they predicted facetime.
Andrew Neil was 27 years old here. He looks 50
I remember as a 15 year old schoolboy I had a crush on Kirsty Wark around this time. She really looked nice.
I found it downright terrifying at the end when he summons a demon with a pentagram and has that weird robot head thing. No wonder I grew up loving magic mushrooms
Memories. They don't make commercials like this anymore
This was on Ed Sheeran's first birthday
Announcer is Rosanne macmillan
Peugot ad...no fish were harmed during the making of this advert...errr...

Robosoft 2 As The 1968 Yorkshire Television Y Of Doom
Amazing quality for 1990! DMAC really was the superior system compared to what Sky was offering.
Back when ITV was...ITV!
Stanley Baxter was awesome.
This is more canon than anything post-Capaldi, to me! 😂
Same
Wonder why the start of the Sweeney theme is heard over the HTV endcap then faded?
not one car on the Road lol😊😊
Peter Lewis also often did IV continuity at Tyne Tees TV.
Worked my way up from a Tommahawk, Chopper and then Grifter.
Happy days!
Come to think of it the Southern clock was not so good eithier.
The H.T.V, West was never a classic was it.
Never found him funny.
TVS were supposed to begin screening Prisoner Cell Block H on 6th September 1985 but it was delayed until 11th October. A year earlier YTV delayed their planned start to the series.
Classic!
London ITV was definitely on a honeymoon period with HTV West.
LWT's Peter Lewis on HTV!?! 🤯
the Thames and LWT presenters often shuffled down the M4 to HTV West during days when their London channel was off the air.
@@the_tv_museum I never knew that! But it does make sense as they. Did any of the HTV West continuity announcers appear on Thames or LWT?
@@the_tv_museumI guess it made sense that they'd end up at HTV West - which other region was a relatively easy commute from London and didn't have the significant disadvantage of being in an overlap area with Thames/LWT themselves? Granada or YTV maybe but I suspect they wouldn't have been all that interested in moonlighters from a fellow big-5 company. Kind, that doesn't quite explain Mike Prince from ATV also taking the coin from Bristol! Didn't Peter Lewis have family ties with this region, his dad was an announcer at TWW IIRC.

Nice, first time I’ve seen this
This must of been Monday 27th December 1982, because of not only Phillip Elsmore’s announcement about it, but, that’s when Rainbow was on on Monday and Wednesday, it didn’t move to the more famous Wednesday and Friday slot until 1985
You dare call the CL Anthem tedious. Epecially compared to You Are The Number Frigging One.
These days tv is like bieng in afrika.and the programmes are the same Brigerton with blks in it ..what a joke. Anti whitei tv nowadays..
From a time when the BBC tried its best to make entertaining programmes without a agenda
Happy 10th birthday TV Museum even if I am a bit late.
I don't care what that disclaimer says, he is simply naming galaxies for the address.

Eddie McCreadie was my hero. Love Chelsea. Greetings from Scotland.
Yorkshire Television Y Of Doom (WARNING SCARY LOGO)
I loved Superman III so much as a 5 year old 😂 What an idiot!
0:10 Thomas The Tank Engine And Friends The Original Series. (1984). X❤

*Exactly 42 years and 1 day ago.* Now, *let us see* just like here if this summer England will bring it home and end *how many* years of hurt... 😉
Freddie star had Windsor Davies eyes
Wit of Classic British TV drama and announcer coming together.
2024… who still remembers this cool sci-fi series?
