It's not a true andrea video without rammstein in it.
The hardest part of the Rammstein Rammstein riff is hitting the right tone and the pm's right, but great vid as always!

I had problem with rhythm of palm muted notes sometimes :D
@kungfuman82
4 жыл бұрын
Palm-muting is a vastly overlooked technique in rhythm and lead playing. I started focusing on it more lately because I'm adding in big, stretchy licks and Paul-Gilbert-style picking and legato licks, and the reason I wasn't able to play them as fast as I wanted to was because my muting sucked. Started working on my muting and everything else improved along with it.
@cochonoob
4 жыл бұрын
This is counter intuitive but the trick for the this kind of riff to sound sharp is to care as much about the muting of the power chord as with the palm mute. Most of the time when you begin with this you alternate between a palm mute sounding messy because the sustained power chord bleeds into it and the power chord not sounding sharp because you are not muting the E string with the tip of the index finger fretting the power chord.

What also catches me in the Rammstein's Rammstein riff is that it's... pseudo-harmonized, should I call it like that? Richard plays the part you did, while Paul adds meat with lower 4th (2-3). Or vise versa)) There's Paul's demo of GuitarRig here on KZread when he shows that (and pretends all sound in tune)

Rammstein by Rammstein live is so bone crunching. When they played it last year it started in full darkness and only a few red lights blinking, making it look like an airfield runway. After the synths intro the main riff comes crashing heavy as fuck with the flames and bass and drums and you can't resist headbanging like a madman. Rammstein's music, simple but effective.
When the video starts with a Rammstein song, you know it's going to be a good video.
Ecco qua il ragazzo che mi ha fatto appassionare ai Rammstein e che tutt'oggi non riesco a smettere di ascoltare. Sei un mito Andre
Static-X and Wayne Static in one video? Awesome! Then having Maiden was just the icing on the cake. Thank you and stay safe and healthy along with those around you.
This couldn’t be better timing for me. Picked up a guitar again for first time in 15 years and these are my jams. Ty.
I'd love a 50 annihilator riffs video. Jeff is such an insane guitarist
Thanks bro. Your videos introduced me to a lot of metal songs and I’ve quite a few riffs because of it.

i do it the same way as you do usually, but some songs have fingerings where the follow-up is easier if done other ways. there's no hard and fast rule on how you should finger your chord. hell sometimes, i finger a chord using only one joint of my finger so i can free up two fingers. takes some getting used to, though
