A friend of mine went the the FSU/BYU game in 2009 and I went to the 2011 OU/FSU game. Both fanbases were pretty great by all accounts.

Bro', are you a psychic?? I'm a Cane, so I have to thank BYU for two things. 1) Showing us what makes OU tick and beating them. 2) Showing us just how good we are. Strange but true. I hope you guys recover and have a great season. There's still plenty to play for.

This is the best highlight I've seen. Great music. Try eliminating the downtime between music. Nice slow motion on the quarterback hits. Try emphasizing the downs on the two goal line stands. Add the delay of game on 4th down. I loved the matching the music slow down and slow motion on the field goal attempt -- suspense. I've already emailed this video to about 100 people. Nice job!

I think I watch this video every year between April and August, after basketball ends and waiting for football to start. I was at the game and it was awesome! Not enough credit is given to the goal line stand after first and goal -- twice after the phantom pass interference -- to keep the game within one score and give the offense a chance. I also have to compliment the OU fans at the game and on this thread -- classiest fans I've ever met, especially in red.

I gotta say this is the best opening game for the 2009 season. Not a fan of either team but it was a hard fought game. I give credit to BYU they have a great team coming from a husker fan.

Give me Max Hall, Dennis Pitta, and that whole defensive line of BYU and I'll start an expansion team in the nfl. Those guys are bad to the bone. Love the song that you chose to go with the video also.

LOL, thing is I'm also an Ohio State fan, so my teams keep getting spanked into submission by the Noles. I felt FSU was the better team than BYU position-by-position, at least on paper, but that FSU just hadn't pulled itself together yet. Unfortunately for the Cougs, they did just before arriving in Provo. And BYU didn't help themselves with all the dumb mistakes. Thanks for the nice words and good luck to OU, FSU and Florida the rest of the season.

@GeneralSather BYU is one of the most consistent college football programs in the country. They've had, what... 4 losing seasons in the last 20+ years? BYU also has more wins than all but 5 or 6 teams in the country over the past 4 seasons.

With or withut Bradford I'm not so sure the result is any different. BYU came better prepared to play. Look at the way they both came off the field at the half...Oklahoma looked shell-shocked and BYU looked ready. Everybody thought BYU was a speedbump for OU on the way to another title shot and maybe another Heisman, but a funny thing happened on the way to the coronation! Funny that the best competition for BYU this year may be from the MWC!!

Seriously, you have to wonder why cities like Buffalo and Green Bay have teams and LA, Portland, San Antonio, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas have none in the NFL. To me it's all about the old guard and the fact that the NFL was originally a train league in Ohio and the Great Lakes region. I'm suprised Canton, Racine, Rock Island, Adron, Dayton and Toledo still don't have teams.

because the kids 18-21 yrs old play with more heart. There not playing for the money. they play because they love the game and want to win. Pro's only play for the dollars. It loses it's meaning really.

as a Nole i have to thank the Canes for continuing to go strong. The better our teams play the more respect we'll both earn back. And thank you BYU for having some of the classiest fans a team could have. Its hard to remain cordial after a heartbreak and those were some seriously classy fans. Hope the rest of the season goes well for you. P.S. That tight end at BYU puts the "chosen one" Kelen Winslow to shame. sorry cane fans, but even you have to admit that guy was a total asshole. 2)

no, Oklahoma scored 60+ on how many ppl last year? the lowest points scored in a game by OU was 35. they only had 10 at halftime vs byu. sam bradford is not the only good player on the team, OU has tons of weapons. BYU just wanted it more.

Because the sport of gridiron football was invented by college players (Rutgers/Princeton and Yale's Walter Camp), for college players and the NCAA is over 25 years older than the NFL. Add to that the fact that the NFL is, was and still is a Northeast-heavy league that ignores major cities of the South and the West. Thus the MWC, Pac-10, and SEC are more popular than the NFL in these areas. The fact that Los Angeles has no football team while New York has 2 is proof enough.

I ain't trying to discredit BYU. I think BYU is good.. It's all these other schools and fans who think OU wasn't a contender. OU was predicted to struggle before the season even started. I thought it was going to happen in the Miami, Texas games! Well, it looked like it started early for us.. Go figure.

Like Harvey Unga was relevant to the game? Sam Bradfords more creditable than Unga period. OU had a young line, inexperienced wide recievers.. And beating OU who is rebuilding should be something to feel proud about? No wonder your never going to be taken seriously.. XD
