The fact that Barons can immediately go to melee attacks without delay and then back again is huge for them

Barons are the embodiment of "rip and tear". Dangerous at range and dangerous up close.

Why wouldn’t a lost soul immediately try to kill a pain elemental. Don’t pain elementals exist to torment lost souls? I’d think that the first thing a lost soul would do is turn around and get some payback on that meatball.

Chaingunners vs Barons would be an interesting fight

We definitely need more Heretic/Hexen, and Doom vs Heretic/Hexen

Nightmare Pain Elemental. The only monster that can beat a Nightmare Baron without suffering any damage.

After watching a bunch of these videos I don't think there's anything worse than nightmare pain elementalists... Then again a lot of the nightmare monsters that aren't that big of a deal on ultra violence are beyond me.

Damn those Barons can really go the distance!

Barons proving to be a bit too sturdy for Pain Elementals to overwhelm with their spamming of Lost Souls.

More friendly fire between the lost souls and pain elementals.

Barons of Hell remind me of Asian giant hornets: they can take on many times their own number.

One of the better match-ups; the fur really flies!

Do these battles work on brutal doom? Or black edition? These are fun to watch and seeing more parts going everywhere sounds fun.

It would be neat if there were some sort of table showing how much total damage each monster did to each other monster. It looks like the lost souls were doing as much damage to each other and the Pain Elementals as they were to the Barons. Of course, the Barons have absolutely no risk of doing any damage to each other in this scenario.

I thought this was going to have more random results than it did.

Why a decreasing scale on the numbers? I wanted to see pure chaos of 100 vs 100.

What GZdoom mod can I use to watch replays in 3rd person and even move around like a "ghost"?

I wonder how many lost souls the barons took out? Like an average, 30 dead lost souls per baron? Would be neat to know that

I do wonder how much impact the elementals being flightless birbs have in this scenario, as they usually are a creature of flight and not this casual floor hugger same for cacos id guess.

Basically, Pain Elemental is superior in one by one but, in many numbers the lost souls kills the pain elementals as colateral damage because they across the in the way of other lost souls... the HP of the pain elementals is low compared to Baron´s HP so the result of that is the Baron's win...

Yes, in a one on one, the baron does not have enough firepower to kill lost souls fast enough to run out of targets and start attacking the pain elemental. In larger numbers, there is more friendly fire among the lost souls and pain elementals whereas the barons don't infight.
