20,000 pound machine falls into septic tank!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Ben at @406garage3 called me with a very interesting situation. While moving some logs around on his property, the forklift found a septic tank that he didn’t know was there. The back end of the machine collapsed the roof of the tank and fell into it, becoming stuck. They tried pushing it out with the forks, they tried picking up something heavy and extended all the way out, and plenty of pulling, but nothing would get it out without making it worse. So I ran over with the @NRCIndustries 40TB rollback and winched it

Nice to have a friend!😂 Awesome 💩 recovery for Ben😎 Keep up the great work and stay safe out there!❤️🙏
Good morning Casey , yup this definitely falls under the "shit happens" category LOL. I actually had this happen with a heating oil delivery truck going through my septic. The oil company knew that they were no supposed to be on a certain area of the property , well a new driver never got the message. So I got a new septic that the oil company paid for.
After Casey moved the logs I was expecting him to offer to fill the hole, wash tractor and prepare dinner.. He is just so nice.

I'm thinking that Casey has limits when it comes to septic tanks. He politely told his friend that he was going back home.

Casey, you used your knowledge of heavy equipment very well in this case, especially knowing that there was a counterweight! Nice work!

I love this comment. you won the Internet today buddy.
I kept looking at that rollback and said to myself it looks like an NRC. Beautiful truck Casey
Saw a news clip the other day, a UPS delivery guy was walking to the back door as instructed and ground gave way, and he fell into a septic tank with about 2' of , you know in it. Full on rescue, cops, firetrucks, hoists, you name it.
You guys are hilarious!
Almost forty years ago I was working on a rough framing crew on a new house when I looked up at just the right instant to see the front wheel of a concrete truck drop through the top of a septic tank in a yard across the back yard from where I was working. The truck's driver seated almost directly above that tire had a sudden four foot drop. The memory of it remains vivid all these years later because it was such a "now there's something you don't see every day" moment that I could have easily missed in the split second it happened.
AMAZING JOB! Casey YOU may always say that you never said you were good at this, but YOU ARE!

Thumbs up for the joke we all hoped was coming. Well done Casey!
I was parking my Class A RV and "found" one! Thought my cat and I had fallen off the face of the earth!!! I never un-clench until I'm safely parked!!!
I was thinking you'd do it one way, and you did it another. Your solution was the smarter one.. hehe Nice job.
Casey wished he could have done this in the snow so he could use his awesome auto tire chains!
I betcha he said, "Holey Crap" when he went in and realized what it was 😅🤣😂!! Thanks for another great video Casey. Take care. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
Intro was great---Ben's so comical. SUPRISE smell a vision---
You don't get views by sensationalism, but by honesty and integrity, Casey. I must admit, I thought you were saying "sheepshead" which is exactly how I thought it came across on video and that is what I thought you were saying. Great video!
406 garage needs to start posting more than you tube shorts.
For a crappy situation that recovery was so clever it looked almost simple. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Good use of your equipment. Had no idea how you planned to do it. Successful again.
When I was taking down my uncle's old house I fell in the septic tank with a 450 John deer it took a trackhoe to get it out great video and great job with the recovering God bless from GA and stay safe
Casey's always helping out!! Nice to see Ben, miss him doing videos. Love all the intended puns on this one Casey!! Cheers to you both from Vancouver, WA
Man, this is a case of very slow and extremely steady is the mantra for this situation. No rushing here.
He was literally in deep sip. LoL God bless
Smell-a-vision........😂 Great work getting out of a "sticky" situation! ☺️👍
Thanks for the video! I was expecting Ben to tell you to wait a minute; he goes around the corner and comes back with an new "project": A previously unheard of 60,000lb International telehandler to do the job!
Another great resolution to a problem. Casey understands the physics of leverage and weight distribution and how adjusting the forklift and the rollback in differing ways can bring perfect resolutions to problems. I doubt that Casey can be stymied for very long until he can devise a solution.
Two days in a row, "You got that sinking feeling?"

Nah, it's a stinking sinking smelling phew!
It is time to find the other tank and backfill with stabilized sand.
We did the same thing with our 30,000 lb telehandler. No one knew the tank was there. Ours drove out itself. Edit. Ours has much larger off road tires.
Wow, great job Casey.
I own a tree service and few years ago I was doing a job I asked the lady if there was a septic tank in the back yard she said the house is on city sewer system I found out after I fell in the tank that there was a old tank from another old house
Nothing like all the sudden just falling and finding your self in deep sh*t. 😳 Glad everyone's all right.
Well THAT was a surprise for Ben!!! I only wish we could have seen his face when the back end went down!! LOL!! Casey, if you hadn't said it I would have! LOL!! I would recommend that Ben dig that tank up and get rid of it. Then fill in the hole. Might also be interesting to see if there is still an inlet pipe and/or any lateral fields and where those all go???
Hey look, Casey really is an equipment operator!
I love seeing you and Ben together, always puts a smile on my face! Thanks for the laughs!!
You got it out of that stinky mess! Yes, Ben has been very lucky his semi didn't fall in there!
Many moons ago i worked for a tree service who had a crane fall into an old septic tank. It was under load and squished 2 houses when it tipped over...the operator smelled like he fell in the septic tank. Thankfully no one was seriously injured
I love it when you and Ben are on a video. That makes it so much better.

Mr Casey I hate working those type recoveries but they have to be done. Another great video. Thanks for sharing and stay safe.
When you started extending and lowering the ramp, I was thinking "AHHH SO THATS WHAT HES DOING... VERY NOICE!" 🤣
man! this was so funny, you two have a great sense of humor! You made this woman in Belgium laugh. God bless and have a wonderful day.
Casey could've milked this by attempting various things for views but he is better at recoveries than finding views! Love this attitude!
You are such a clever thinker Casey ..i had no idea what you intended ...
The last comment was required! You make this stuff look easy!
Oh, new Old Spice smeel!! I laughed when the chime rang!
Excellent work guys
The best engineered recovery yet😮😅👍
Don't you just love that rollback? Stay safe..
Wicket video . . . didn't see that coming . . . great maneuvers. Cheers.
No stress, No Panic. Just a textbook recovery. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
That was clever. Great job.
Casey, you’re a genius ! You and Ben are quite the team, and I really enjoy when you guys are together in a vid. Mr. Grumpy , Ben, and you should do something together sometime !
That happened to me with a skid steer. Abandoned non-decommissioned log crib cesspool. Missed the bottom by 2’.😬 Life’s great!
I never laughed so hard in my life is seen that telehandler Down in the hole which ended up being a sewage tank. Job well done Casey you saved the day you saved Ben from having to call a heavy duty wrecker!
It's not what you know, its who you know that has a giant rollback!
Casey you really went through the correct Motions and not under Turd with the crappie job. Well done .🇦🇺🍻
The remote is not lazy, it's honestly the safest way to do a winch job, I occasionally use a trailer without a remote and it gives me the heebies, I'm spoiled now, but I learned witching gensets and big compressors with the mounted controls only...
That rollback is like having a Swiss army knife in your pocket!
Holy Sheave would you look at that! "Clean work" Casey! Reminds me of the time I was trenching between a house and fence tying in a sewer hookup with my little 310 Bobcat and backhoe attachment. I dug/ backed over an unknown 5' diameter bricked up drywell. I was able to to hang things up and not fall all the way in. I climbed out over the hoe. A Case extendahoe waiting to take over the rest of the trench was barely able to reach in to pull it all out.
Great plan of Attack Casey. 🤙😎
Casey, I love all of your videos but I especially love ones with You and Ben in it they’re so original you can’t make this stuff up lol
THAT WAS A PRETTY SLICK RECOVERY!
Veeerrrry interesting video!! Good job on solving the predicament!!
What a crappy situation
Ingenious use of available equipment. well done!
I have first-hand experience of falling into a septic tank. I used to haul concrete. Upon arrival at a jobsite, I was met by the contractor who instructed me... "Let me guide you back to the forms, I know where the septic tank is and I don't want you to drive over it or worse yet, fall into it." He guided me directly over a septic tank and the right rear set of duals fell into the septic tank.
Well, at least Ben gets the 'Friends and Family' discount............. I think.
Very ingenious approach. Good job.
Ben I'm surprised you Don't have a Backhoe on ur property 😆
😂😂😂this was the best Saturday cartoons ever 👊🙌💯
Here in the Valley of Texas a Construction company was building a road. When they found a Fire Ant mound that was about 30' deep and 40' across. Every thing was getting stuck. It took a week of adding rocks and fill dirt to get to the grade level.
You are very good at this!
Very nicely done. You made that one look easy!
Very cool being able to pull that up out of the hole.
I didn't fell in it but last summer, discovered an old septic tank (probably the original of the house from way back then) because the top (made from tick wood) fell in on its own making a hole were I've been passing with my mower tractor for the past 4 years without falling in (since I bought the house), thankfully...
Nice find Ben. I think smell was worse than situation itself. I have to smell dung sludge every spring, when farmers spread it to their oat- and barleyfields witch surrounds my house from all directions. Not to mention one time a year empty my own septic tank, just outside my kitchen window. And "perfect" job as always Casey, at the end anyway.

There is a very big difference in the smell of farm animal manure, and human shit! Definitely, the aroma of well aged and liquified human excrement, will send many people into an extreme gagging fit, just prior to evacuation of their stomach contents! Really an awful sight that no one wants to see, and as strange as it sometimes is, the sight and smell of such action can cause a full throttle puke-a-rama, if there happens to be an audience present! Ugh....
FLASHBACK ! I once backed into a septic tank that had been covered over with gravel for a driveway . It was a propane bobtail and the only thing stopping it from going all the way in was the pan cakes of the air brakes . Sadly that was brought up in the next drivers meeting .

Conclusion for final clean up on the truck bed Charmin or Bounty ? Nice recovery Casey !
Excellent great job!
Ben's backhoe falling in an unknown septic tank reminds me of a friend from an online group years ago. He was a retired lawyer who was accident prone. One day as he was walking across the site where his son had just demoed on old school with heavy equipment when he fell into the septic tank. Several track hoes and dump trucks had been over that site but his weight was too much. Good work on a smelly job.
Fantastic job, You really mad that look easy.
Well executed Casey
Again, the genius of Casey and his years of experience paying off. I was wondering how he would pull it backwards and get the front end around the crater. Great use of the bed/bridge to get it on the safe side of the crater and getting Ben back to work!
Good morning Casey. Have a good day. God bless you all the time and your family and friends.
That was great thinking.
Smell recovery!

Entertaining as always. Fun stuff! Gooday from Australia.

Casey, you continue to surprise me by thinking of clever ways to do a recovery. I began the video thinking “he brought a rollback for this recovery??” At the end I just thought - yeah what a great way to accomplish the recovery! Keeps me coming back to see what you’ll do next! Thanks for the great content.
Wonderful job, Casey!
Fascinating recovery. Thanks.
Well figured out. Love your work Casey. Stay warm.
