Venezuela is one of the most dangerous countries in the world… but it’s also one of the most beautiful. I was lucky enough to recently spend 2 full weeks there - from Caracas to Chuao - traveling alongside my local friend Emmanuel. This video is a full-length documentary about our trip. I dig deep into the economic crisis to tell you why a Big Mac costs $17 Million Venezuelan Bolivares and how the minimum wage is $1 USD per month. I explore stunning fishing villages along the Caribbean coast, meet the most hospitable and down-to-earth people, and try delicious food (AREPAS!). I enter the most dangerous slum in the world called Petare, and I also show you what the luxury side of Venezuela looks like.
Join me in this incredible documentary, that gives you a unique look at the good, the bad and the ugly of my favorite country in Latin American nation.
THIS IS VENEZUELA.

I was born in Venezuela and currently living in Florida. Venzuela is by far one of the most naturally stunning countries in the world. It has from deserts, to tropical rainforests, to tundras. It’s a shame the image that the government gives. I visited Venezuela last summer and stayed there for two months. I was actually surprised on how much better it has gotten after they started using the dollar. I thank you for this video ❤

It'll never gets better, the narcosocialists keep people in absolute poverty so they're completely dependable from the state and unable to revolt. Disarm > censor > control food supply = socialist slavery. Brazil entered the 2nd stage. We're now being arrested for private whatsapp talks. But it's only been a week since the new government took over, via fraud. I'm afraid it won't take a year before we are under some kind of food control program.

Venezuela is a beautiful country with a lovely, colorful population and I wish the best for them and their country. Here in the US, most of us take our stability, prosperity, and freedoms for granted, they fail to understand how fragile and unique such things are. Venezuela is, sadly, an example of how quickly and thoroughly a people's fortunes and freedoms can slip away, and the struggle of life afterwards. Life, Liberty, and prosperity should never be taken for granted, most people will never have them and for those that do and lose them, it is unlikely they will ever get them back , at least not in one lifetime. I pray you all will find peace and prosperity, and the good health and freedom to enjoy them.

Excellent video as always Drew. I have watched your videos now for over a year. This is a great journey through Venezuela. It's really awesome that you had Emmanuel to take you through the entire country and that you got to experience so much with the locals, that is what it is all about. It is crazy to think how people live there on $1 USD a month, especially considering many of the things you purchased were about 1-2 each. It seems like the vast majority of people in Venezuela are naturally born-entrepreneurs. When you purchased those glasses for $5 off that guy, that may have been his first sale the entire week. Thanks for sharing.

Drew, between the time you went to Venezuela over a year ago and now, Venezuela is a very different country. It is now two completely stories. Now the US dollar is the "formal" currency and every one uses it to pay for everything. The economic situation in the past year has changed significantly, to the extent that all multinational worldwide financial institutions are saying that Venezuela will be the country with the largest economic growth in Latin America in 2023. Inflation has basically ceased with the US dollar being now the "formal" currency. Hardly anyone now uses the local currency to make any payments. And best news is that for whatever reason, Venezuela has bettered significantly in security. Watch recent videos to confirm what I am writing here. You will always be welcome in Venezuela! 🇻🇪 🇺🇲

I lived in Caracas for 3 years when my dad was stationed (army)there. I graduated from CIC a high school there. It was an awesome place to live. I’m retired now and living in the USA but I always remember the friendly people and the beaches. I also can drive anywhere because of the autopistas there 😂 Back then if you stopped at a red light when nobody else was around you would be honked at by the car behind you and they would drive around you 😂 A bolivar back then was like a quarter and it would cost 1 or 2 bolivars to take an air conditioned bus to the beach. I ate quenepas in Puerto Rico. Didn’t ever encounter them in Caracas. Love the arepas and hallacas, the black beans etc. best empanada I had was in Puerto Rico. Best beaches were in Caracas

This video should be mandatory in schools and universities to show everyone how to stop being stupid and offended by everything. If you are black, how is it offensive to be called black or negro? If you are white, how is it offensive to be called white? It is so refreshing to see real people living real lives. God bless Venezuela 🇻🇪 and its lovely people.

not the same culture, not the same history. You can expect US people to start treating eachother like Venezuelans who didn't even have a history of segregation. It is very complicated and it takes a really open mind to understand and accept that other countries have issues that might seem silly to us, but its because its not OUR issues

You sound so uninformed and ignorant. No black person would be offended to be called black. It’s just that most times, y’all say that with bad intentions. If you simply acknowledge that a blank person is black, that wouldn’t be offensive obviously. It’s just that people use that as an excuse to treat black people like they are inferior. It’s not the same with white people. Use your head.
