Thanks for this tutorial. This was the first video that helped me do a salon finished look on my husband locs. They finally looking like something. I used the clips just like you said and it made a world of difference in his length and neatness. You did a great job helping a kitchen beautician over here 😊

I’m 2 weeks in.. my hair is shorter than his but looked the same as far as the frizz and growth. I desperately need a retwist but didn’t have the funds to go. I am SO glad I found this video. I think I can do this on my own. Thank you for posting !

This was a Huge help for me I’m a beginner and so is my son I will watch this again in 2-3 weeks for a reminder. Clip the ends of the hair down.

Big tip. Don’t just clip the roots like Sasha said. Unless you want balloons in your hair lol this was my major problem

Hello I have a question my son has soft hair and his dreads are long so what products would you use to keep his dreads to last longer ? Also his dreads are different sizes what should I do and do I use a comb for this ?

I have been trying to get the pinning down. My 3yo son's hair is cut in this same exact style. I have the same pins you are using in the video and when I double pin it flattens out the loc where the pin is placed at the bottom. If I don't put a pin at the bottom then the bottom will curl and flip up!🥴

Hey.. how long will it take to dry if I use a heating cap. I use it for my deep conditions. Don’t have a dryer .. I’m doing someone’s hair from home

IF YOU START OFF THE LOCS WITH PLAITS, HOW DO YOU RETWIST THE ROOT ? JUST TWIST LIKE REGULAR AND CLIP AND THEN LEAVE THE PLAIT WITHOUT TWISTING IT? .... SORRY IF THIS QUESTION IS CONFUSING LOL.

darren well yes tree oil is amazing. What you can do is add tea tree oil, peppermint oil and rosemary to your conditioner. You can moisturize your hair with a leave in spray and add the combination from above to your leave in c itinerary spray. That will soothe your scalp and keep your hair moisturized

What’s the oil you use while retwisting?

I’m going to start my own locs tomorrow actually I’ve been watching a lot of videos on how to do it on my own I was just wondering after I twist them how long should I wait to give myself a retwist?
