Hitting BP is one of the funnest things in the world! Your blessed to have someone to do it with. Older I get harder it is to find someone.

Even a bad round of BP with friends is a good time!!

We can all learn a very valuable lesson today. It is ALWAYS the equipments fault, be it the pitching machine, bat or even the batting gloves. Shoot I'll blame my hat before myself. 🤣

No way I can blame those 2 bats! Blue flame started off shaky but managed to get it together, and I swapped gloves between rounds. So, that hat just went in the trash!! But really, I think I'll just tell my brain to shut up the next time it wants to do something like this!!

I'm no expert but I can see one thing that would help you is to work on getting those hips turning. Bathound just made a video about it.

There was a lot going wrong on that day. Hips, hands, and timing. All off!

You are about 10mph better than what I was measuring myself off the tee…one endloaded Melee 3 and the balanced Demarini Sunday Swagger. I think my top speed off the tee was 62, like the previous poster said my ass was in the swings that I recorded higher….correction you’re 20mph higher

On a good day, I flirt with 90 and average just a bit over 80 off the pitching machine. This was not a good day! Haha!

Step your tall ass towards the pitcher. That’s why you’re chopping the top half of that ball, plus you play on a field like I have out here where you’re standing in the box and your feet ain’t flat but on a steep rut. I’m 6’2” I have to stand far from the plate to hit right. It throws my hitting off.

I am constantly telling myself during BP some variation of "step your tall ass towards the pitcher." Common issue that I revert too. And given the condition of our batters boxes, I would probably be well served to just back up a bit and drive more pitches to right field. Appreciate the comment!
