2 of Taylor Swift's teachers say they couldn't be prouder of their former student

Both teachers said they listened to Swift's newest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," and they want their former student to know they are cheering her on back home in Pennsylvania.

She isn’t even my kid, but I couldn’t be more proud! She does what she loves, and built an empire doing it! Love her, or hate her, she will always be a legend…

So wait a minute. Hold up. In first grade Taylor said she wanted to be a stock broker? The following year is when she knew she wanted to be a singer. Like, wow. She had goals from the get-go. Very ambitious and determined person. I thought to myself, what kind of kid is thinking of becoming a stock broker? Then I looked up her mom and dad to find out what they did and it says her father was a financial advisor and her mom was a mutual fund marketing executive. Now I see where it came from. It's in her blood. She's where she's at thanks to both her parents for instilling the work ethic in her and major props to Taylor for continuing to push forward and build her own business/empire based on her talents and love of music. That's very inspiring. How can one not be in awe of that? just WOW. AMAZING. Music teacher Barbara Kolvek (1st-4th grade): "I feel like maybe I gave her a little spark to, or encouragement, to do what she's doing." Yep, this made me cry. It was so sweet and lovely to hear. Heather Brown (3rd grade teacher): "She probably doesn't get the messages anymore but I still send her a Christmas card every year and I still write her notes and congratulate her." It was really nice hearing about her childhood and what her former teachers had to say about her. It was even more special seeing that they kept in touch with her and followed her journey to stardom. They didn't have to keep the pictures and all those keepsakes but they did and that was beautiful to see that they knew there was something special about her. Aww. ❤

Great segment. They have good reason to be proud. Most teachers make big differences in the lives of their students. Encouraging young Taylor made a big difference.

Stop glorifying a billionaire whose private jet usage alone “amounted to an estimated 8,300 tonnes of carbon emissions in 2022 - that’s about 1,800 times the average human’s annual emissions, or 576 times that of the average American and about 1,000 times that of the average European” according to Carbon Market Watch.
