I’m a black male I’m 27 getting diagnosed in a few weeks. Me having the awareness of being autistic has been amazing relief. Being made to feel like a bad person bcz I never talk or interact from my own family . Lots of gaslighting. I was cutting as a kid now I’m a drunk. And still cut. I still not able to move out . Nobody bothered to care about my mental health. But being outcasted by society and called weird . I thought I was crazy and slow. Knowing my identity has gave me knew life and maybe I can have some type of life and a gf one day.

I'm a 37 year old black male who found out I was autistic 2 years ago. It made sense but for me I wish things were better.

Hello, Im going through the process of getting an Autism/ADHD Assessment. Your channel specifically has been immensely helpful! I just really relate to much of what you talk about. I really appreciate your courage to share your experiences! maybe one day I will get to the point where I can share my own story. Thank you! I wish you well on your journey✌

I got my diagnosis about the same time as you got yours. I started my burnout a while before testing - umsure if that's what it was. I forget what creator on here was telling the difference for them between depression and autistic burnout. It seems the easiest way to tell is if you have the ambition to do things then it's a burnout. The best thing we can do for everyone is to take breaks as often as necessary and keep our sanity. It's a long road and we can't run the whole way.

When you started talking about how you felt like your not ever going to be normal or neuro typical and i am disabled. Is exactly how i feel about being autistic.i also get that feeling like im an imposter. Im not saying autistic people are disabled but personally i feel that i am disabled. Im yet to be diagnosed, i looked at the option of self testing but i dont feel like im capable of doing it correctly.

I personally think autism is a disability in the world we live in, but it doesn’t have to be a ’bad’ thing :) good luck with your diagnosis! ♥️

There is an overlap between adhd and cptsd. Also autistic burnout can create memory loss and inability to focus. Hang in there, you're young, you will find your way.
