    They look so good and healthy! Thank you for posting such an honest and informative video!!! I just started my loc journey with slightly thicker size and I’m so happy I did. Now to convince my daughter...I think she would love microlocs.

    I literally got one section of my hair done today with the braids. I was very skeptical because I wanted the look of sisterlocs, but seeing your video gave me hope of what the future may hold with these!! Thank you so much for your commentary, sharing your journey!!

    Absolutely Beautiful, yep, I’m sold. I’m going for it and I’m going to microloc and leave two inches loose on the ends because I just love my curly ends.

    Thanks so much! I’m going to retie my braidlocs myself . I had mine installed too. But I’m like you I’ve always done my hair myself. The biggest thing I’m struggling with is to do which point 4,3,2, I have 4c kinky coil coarse hair. I got until the end of 1-29-22 will be 6 weeks. Watching your videos today encouraged me to wash my locks for the 1st time. I did it like you did no braids just freely. I oiled my scalp and it feels great. Today is 3wks since My installed. You keeping it real and thanks for sharing people like me need the encouragement and know how to do this journey.

    Awesome!! You can do this. Just be patient and take your time. There’s no hurry. You’ll get better and better at it the more you do it. I do a 2 point rotation just because I’m all about what is easy. I have video up on my channel about how I do it that may also help you. Good luck. Let me know if I can help in any way! :)

    Your hair is gorgeous. However, did you start with long hair? If so, do you experience shrinkage? I started my journey a year ago and have a tremendous amount of shrinkage. But, I'm glad I finally went through with it.

    I don't understand why the braids can't be twisted at the roots like a normal dreadlock! Can someone explain to me why it has to be retwisted with a "point" lock or twist or whatever lol? Thanks to anyone that can answer this for me 😊

  • @ItsCinnaMe

    @ItsCinnaMe

    4 жыл бұрын

    deejahbell 89 It all depends on the look you want. This size loc is kind of small to twist at the roots for me plus I prefer the look of interlocked locs. Also I sweat a lot and palm rolling or twisting is not a good option for me. Interlocking is less prone to slippage. But to answer your question you absolutely can twist braidlocs. I hope that helps!!

    @@ItsCinnaMe thank you yes it really does help. One more question hopefully you know the answer to this. My hair is in thicker plaits by the way. I was watching another KZreadr and he said with braidlocks you can just leave them alone and they will dread on their own! Is this true? If so how do you keep them looking neat?

  • @ItsCinnaMe

    @ItsCinnaMe

    4 жыл бұрын

    deejahbell 89 Your hair will loc regardless of the method you use to start them. It also is about the style of locs you want. It depends on your hair texture how long it will take for your hair to fully loc and the braid pattern to go away. Some say sleeping with a bonnet or satin pillowcase helps in controlling frizz. Frizz a part of any loc journey no matter how you start them. Learning to embrace it makes life much easier. I know that’s easier said than done. LOL

    I am a Certified Lock Consultant. I will tell you, soft hair will not lock. Just washing and leaving is the best way to get it to lock. Your hair will develope its own natural oil. No spritizing at all. Really the only time it should be wet is when its washed. You should bundle hair while washing and after washing and towl drying bundles, separate each lock and allow hair to just hair dry. sleep on a satin pillow case. I promise your hair will lock if you follow these simple, inexpensive instructions

    Thank you for the information! I don’t always follow all the rules but I do listen to what my hair is telling me. It’s worked for me this far and I’m sure it will continue to. I do appreciate your comment!

    coloring should not be done while you are in the locking process. its damaging to the hair. This is if you are locking it the correct way. If you are putting nothing on it, you cannot color. It also is not in the natural state if its being colored. colors have damaging products that starighten hair. Please DO NOT color your hair while you ar locking

    I don’t have plans on coloring right now for sure. I can’t say how long I will feel that way. If I do it will be with the same color I have used for the past 25+years with no issue at all. We’ll see how it goes. Thanks for your comment! 😊
