2 Mercury Capris found in Southern Utah
After having an eye out for a Mercury Capri for years, I stumbled upon two in Southern Utah in the same day. The first was a 1993 model that I saw for sale in Moab, while the second was a 1991, also for sale, in the town of Price. The Capri is unique in that it was made in Australia.

@@TesserLink I was always a big fan and a friend of mine had a little red base model in high school.
I have one but not for sale lol
As an Australian and a Ford Laser owner when these were released, I really considered them terrible and after looking a new one over in the showroom certainly inferior to the then current Laser's which had updated Mazda 323 components, while these were based off the first generation Mazda 323. The MX-5 (Miata) was a better looking, better built and better handling car then these if you wanted a soft top. In the end the US got far more of these then Australia ever saw. They were a dud out here and Ford Australia didn't seem to upset when Mercury stopped wanting them. That all said it seems the time for the Capri is back as I've noticed some people are looking for these now. I guess they do have rarity on their side and not many would be left of the 60000 odd they made, especially if you want the turbo spec model.
