The first exercise Palak Shah walks you through is a banded side-step exercise. This movement is great to activate the external rotators of the hip which stabilize the knee.
The second movement is a wall-supported ankle mobility stretch. When our ankles can't access full range of motion during the squat there are compensations throughout the entire body.

    TKE's were a life saver for me when I had knee issues. I found out from a strength and fitness coach for a college football team they do them almost daily to help prevent injury as well.

    My knees crack all the way up and down a squat. Doesn't hurt... Just concerning

    what if banded side steps CAUSE knee pain? My client also says wearing a band during squats causes her pain.
