I watch pretty much all of your videos, man. You're the best resource for TFSI engines. We all know we need the help! A lot of people want the quick answer, but learning it is much more effective... and you're a good teacher. I'm a very experienced electrical engineer, but modern automotive design is extremely complex in an area of expertise I'm no expert in. Thank you for making these videos. I really appreciate it.

You mentioned “if you want to see something” well I know you don’t need to do this since you pretty much can pull the motor quicker than us mortals can do an oil change.. but I’d really like to see a detailed step by step video on putting a B8 into service position, I have two projects that I’d like to do timing chain, guides and tensioner upgrades to and it would make it easier for.. if you would it would be really great.. for what I’ve seen there isn’t much on KZread showing this in details that you provide

I just did mine on a ‘13 B8.5 with only 69k on it.. but I took it all off, intake, TB, fuel rail, injectors , and just wanted to make sure everything was ok, also did a carbon cleaning but wasn’t too bad.. this video is the very best on the internet to get to the entire side of the 2.0tfsi components.. this made my job easy and saved me a ton of $$$

Great video! I just got a 2011 A4 B8 2.0t quattro, and for some reason when i step on the gas pedal it has some lag before it starts getting speed, it almost feels like it could bog out. I'm use to working on B5 & B6 models, but that's about it, so this car seems almost new to me. There were no codes to go off of from vagcom until yesterday. The one code it's throwing now is "p218100 Cooling System Performance active/static". I was thinking of starting with the water pump/thermostat, if it solves the problem, perfect, if not, at least I know it's been done (and its not to expensive). There's no leaks (external) that I can see, and the car seems to hold coolant well (according to the reservoir). I've been watching a lot of your videos lately, so I can get to know the car better, since you know these cars better than anyone I know, I would love to know what your opinion is on the stalling thing. It does seem to lack power while driving i feel. I've drove a hand full of A4 B5/B6 1.8t's and they're snappy and I can hear the turbo spool... I dont hear much from the turbo, but I wasn't sure if it's just not as noticeable on the B8's. I did a test on the waste gate actuator with 20 PSI and it actuates. The plugs look good (kinda black) and no oil on the coil packs. I also put a new air filter in. I think that about all I have checked so far. Thanks again for everything, keep up the amazing work!

Your video helped me a lot with this repair. I was sick at the time & freezing by the time I was wrapping it up. I brain farted & filled the throttle body hose with coolant. When I tried to start the car the next day I saw a small puff of smoke after it quit turning over. Can you tell me which parts I fried? It won’t try to turn over after that initial attempt to start.

Dude you are really an excellent presenter and educator of Audi servicing. I love your shop and set-up, I really am envious, wish I had that kind of shop. I've been working on Audi's and VWs for long time years and kind of learned the hard way, you are teaching me a lot of tricks. Love your videos - keep them coming. Any advice on buying a 2014 A4 manual? What are some things I should be concerned with aside from the biggies like oil consumption, belt/chain (not sure what the timing device is?). I have had many Audi's I really like them, and I can do most things, except the major motor work (pistons. etc.). I'm looking at one with 95k miles - I'd be very curious of your thoughts (I love the quattro, which is why I'm considering buying one, as a winter car, not a daily driver)

Some people say they have needed to replace the intake manifold, I haven’t ran across a bad one yet, I’ve also never cleaned an intake manifold yet. I do have extra manifolds though and I’ve swapped them out with all the wiring and injectors for quick testing though. So no I haven’t taken any of them apart and haven’t needed to for any reason. The carbon that you will be concerned with is always on the valves from what ive seen.
