1st Amendment Audit, Cheektowaga Post Office, employees educated, 1 Karen found, w/ Rogue Nation

This is the first amendment audit of the Cheektowaga, NY Post Office. I was joined by Rogue Nation. We filmed the outside of the post office an the inside of the lobby. We were told to stop filming that it was not legal to film the inside of the federal building. The manager called his boss found out we were allowed to be inside filming. One employee tried to duck out of work an also found out she had to keep working as well.

Its only "illegal" if they run around quoting Poster 7 while blatently ignoring the part that says "except where prohibited by". Either way doesnt matter. There is no reason in the world to "audit" a post office. There is absolutely zero government accountability to be had by harassing a couple employees that are so far down the government employee foodchain, no one cares what they say. It makes about as much sense as "auditing" a library, museum, religous worship site, etc. No F'n sense at all. You have been around long enough to have seen PO so-called "audits" yield absolutely ZERO results beyond those people getting views, mostly from viewers that couldnt care less about activism and just want to see the "auditors" get arrested, for ad revenue. So many people have forgotten what auditing is truly about, they say its about the right to film in public only, which is so far from the truth, its sad. It is getting harder and harder to try and get the true auditing movement back on track and to try and restore the public image of auditing. I start wondering if its even worth it anymore. People ask me and many other 'old timer' auditors why we dont post videos or stream like we used to. We dont want to be associated with all the fake auditor wannabe youtubers running around. I am hoping this guy isnt like them. I talked to SAEXTAZYPREZ, NNH, Slakr210, etc, often and we have had this discussion so many times, its become a running gag.

Some people suddenly love the law so much they wind up being needlessly discourteous and feeling good about it. We must all be a law of courtesy unto ourselves or our society is lost. Avoid needlessly abusing people's right to be secure in their persons. Auditing is great when done for a constructive purpose. Our police need to be put in check. They overstep their authority far too often. Bad auditing practices will eventually give safe harbor for bad police to operate with impunity. With every liberty is also a corresponding responsibility. Maintain good will and courtesy as much as you can in all circumstances or you will in actuality be undermining our republic. ..

So why do auditors go into post offices unarmed? No, I do not mean with. GUN. I mean with something like this: Call the postal police and ask which agent or agents are responsible for that particular post office. If possible (good luck with this one) talk to that agent and ask him/her about poster 7 and permissions and the 4th Amendment, etc. Have that information WITH YOU (name & contact numbers of agency and agent, copy of poster 7, etc) when you go in. Don’t go in unarmed. Will the agent call the post office and warn them? Probably, but isn’t educating people on our rights the point of all of this, or is it like the tyrants claim, that we are just trying to provoke something?

No it does not! Poster 7 is policy derived from Federal Law under U.S. Code of Conduct Title 39 section 232.1 subsection I, that says you can record in any public area of a post office. Mussimecci vs DHS is district Court ruling out of New York where a cameraman was arrested for photography of the exterior of the DHS building. The district court said DHS had violated 1st amendment freedom of press and required DHS to inform all federal employees that it was OK to record exteriors of federal buildings. The ACLU infers this to meen that you can record in the interior as well but, so far no has challenged this to my knowledge. However the Post Office Board of Governers has addressed this in Title 39. Public photography is allowed inside and out in any public area

Has anyone really read the Poster 7? Photographs for news purposes may be taken in entrances, lobbies, foyers, corridors, or auditoriums when used for public meetings except where prohibited by official signs or Security Force personnel or other authorized personnel or a federal court order or rule. Other photographs may be taken only with the permission of the local Postmaster or installation head. 1) when used for public meetings. 2) except where prohibited by official signs. 3) except where prohibited by Security Force personnel. 4) except where prohibited by other authorized personnel. 5) except where prohibited by a federal court order or rule. 6) Photos taken only with approval of local Postmaster or instillation head. I, my self, do not understand why this is so hard to understand. Where did auditors get the impression that they can freely go into a postal facility and freely film and then refuse to leave or cease activities when asked to do so. It clearly states these particular requirements. In this case, I think the auditors need the education. Also, many municipalities, nation wide, strike an agreement with local, county, or state law enforcement for service to the postal facility. Whether voluntary or paid. Most likely, there is an agreement. Maybe I am wrong. However, still film the police. It is for our protection.

Definetly confusing and decieving. The USPS website is much better. The Poster 7 sections are all there and what powers they have but most people would SEE the color offered. Specifically 'personal use' states the postmaster has discretion to ask them to stop PROVIDED a security risk or a disruption in regular operations. Which makes perfect sense as those acts would or could be a crime. Doesn't say PROVIDED he can decide arbitrarily to take his access to a publicly accessible federal property. So when a cop Trespasses him, why? What authority? Who's jurisdiction? 'Other photos' implies areas agreed to be recorded that are not already open to public. If you go to USPS website. It says to ask the Rights and Permissions Division and that they will approve and deem if you are a 'legitimate news agency' to film. Well if you ask and are told no? Should you have asked in the 1st place? Isn't a News Agency a commercial company? What is a 'legitimate news agency'. PRESS is a right and to FILM in public is a right as all part of your 1st A rights.. which is why the last 2 sections of poster 7 are important too. Plain and simple, why don't they just put up signs ? No filming with out prior permission? Idk maybe because people have rights. To break it down even more. What purpose does the post office serve? Id say its purpose it to ensure all people have the ability to their 1st a rights. They send their rights internationally and domestically. All over the F'in place. Voting included. Why would anyone wanna control the USPS. I don't believe their commercial side changes their obligations or their purpose. Yes, technology has taken alot from them. Their commercial side funds their operations. Who does the USPS pay taxes too? The PSF, whats the PSF? Well thats a Fund to continually fund the obligations of the post office. Who pays taxes, indirectly to themselves. Also, the USPS can borrow money from the US Treasury at low interest to stay in operation. The USPS gets about $18B a year in benefits and kickbacks through the government. If power went out, who protects the 1st A? The USPS. If there is any government agency wholly important and accountable to the people. Its USPS. Yall gotta think of the past and how the future can change it to be forgotten. You should probably just buy a stamp and move on. Just standing there for minute after minute after minute very much looks like you are goading a confrontation. You wouldn't be doing that would you? Of course not. It's akin to loitering when you just stand there for several minutes. If they complete a transaction with you what more can you expect? If they refuse well then sink your teeth in if you want. I think you know sooner or later one of those customers is going to go off. They know the unwritten truth of the matter. They didn't volunteer to be presented to two thousand unaccountable scrutinizing eyes. The courts will eventually attempt to incorporate our fourth into our first regarding recording in public. Watch out when that happens. The cops will once again be protected from justified scrutiny because some people are just not using common sense and common courtesy. ..

Oh please, dont start doing so-called "audits" at places that have nothing to do with government accountability at all. There is absolutely no reason in the world to "audit" a post office. Before you go calling me a troll, first off I am just east of you in Rochester. Second, I am the longest lived auditor anywhere in upstate NY. I have been a part of the real auditing community almost since it started on KZread. I have helped many, many new auditors get their channels going and call ever major, 'old timer' real auditor a good friend. I am the one that made doing stream panels a 'thing' in the community after P and P News introduced us to it. One of the main reasons why the real auditing movement started dying is exactly because people started going out and harassing places like post offices, libraries, museums, religious worship sites, and any other places remotely connected to the government under the guise of doing an "audit" even though the places have NOTHING to do with government accountability. Notice how I keep saying "real". By that I am refering to those of us that spent many years building the auditing movement. Over the last two years or so the movement has been systematically replaced by wannabe youtubers that realized they could impersonate us but be as aggressive, vulgar, disruptive as possible and get far more views than we ever did. The general viewer only watches because they want to see controversy. They just want to be entertained. We, the real auditing movement, realized quite a few years ago that acting that way NEVER gets the results we want. That going to places like this, which is pointless anyways since everyone loves to quote Poster 7 yet ignores the 'except where prohibited by' clause of the photography addendum which makes it so the moment any employee says "Stop filming" that means you have to stop or you can be legally trespassed and if you dont stop or leave you can be criminally trespasses, this does NOT help our cause, at all. Auditing is NOT about "our right to film in public". So many people have forgotten, or stopped caring, what auditing is really about that it has just made things worse. The fake auditor wannabe youtubers now outnumber us real auditors by over 100 to 1 and as a result of their videos where they do nothing but cause problems, police and all other officials no longer see us as activists just trying to make a difference. Now they see us as nothing but domestic terrorists that just want to make them look bad in a video for ad revenue. They show up to audits, real and fake, already heated, ready for confrontation, ready to find any reason to arrest us. They wait anxiously for so-called "auditors" to be brought to their courtroom so they can use every trick in the books to give the harshest verdicts possible. Thankfully so far only the wannabe youtubers have ended up having to take pleas and get sent to prison. Yes, this includes former real auditors that got sucked in by the money and the fandom and went from making true changes, to acting stupid on camera for money, not caring about the damage they caused to the auditing world.

@@AuditingErieCounty716 Whatever? So thats your take on auditing? Just, whatever? You dont care that we are seen as nothing but nuisances? Domestic terrorists? You dont care that the public image of auditing that all of us that came before you, built, has become a joke online and something to be squashed in the field? Why did you get into it in the first place? I know Buffalo and its surrounding areas very well. I have audited out there with Bulletsponge Bob before he passed away. Not to mention just general life experieces going out there many hundreds of times over the last 4 decades. I have seen how bad the cops can be out there. Even the game wardens that work that area tend to be bad. Do you not care? Do you not want to make actual changes for the better out there?

@@AuditingErieCounty716 Who am I? I an one of the people that built the auditing movement. Thats who I am. You think subscriber count makes a difference? Anyone can go out, make videos of themselves acting like a fool and get thousands of subscribers. I bet more than half your subscribers only subbed to you because they hope to see you get arrested and roughed up. Is that what you care about? My subscribers are loyal and have been with me for years, even after I had to restart my channel 3 1/2 years ago because it got corrupted in the system. If all I cared about were subscribers I would have switched to playing cat videos years ago.
