1RC Winter Championship: Snowball Derby, RC Oval Race 200 Lap Main Event.

Lets go 1RC Racing! Introducing the 1RC Snowball Derby Winter Championship which will be becoming an annual big 1RC oval race event here in the South East. This particular race was held at ERC (The Hobby Connection) located in Easley South Carolina.
The video starts off with my intro then followed by a little theatrical tour and action shots of the race day. We then jump right into the A-Main Events for all classes.
Many of these races also had 100, 150 or 200 lap A-Main races with cautionary stops for battery changes.
Lots of great racing, plenty of humor and laughs and all around good RC racing fun.
Hope you all enjoy and thank you to everyone for the continued support!

    Man this is the video that came across my feed they got me back in to RC car racing. I started with the late model. It wants to spin out coming out of turn two on asphalt. I have not adjusted anything on this car yet do you have any tips?

    Thats awesome to hear that this episode is what inspired you to return to RC racing. I appreciate the comment and kind words. As far as adjusting for the spinning on exit, have you tried different springs? I know 1 RC now sells spring kits for these cars to allow for mor tuning options. Otherwise, you will likely need to play with the small shims, maybe move one from the left side to the right side etc.

    great question and it all depends on track and size but I'll give some tips based on what I found and talked with other racers about. Be prepared to heat and straighten or even possibly have to slightly bend some plastic linkages to get the toe and camber you may need, this was common. Also, invest in the different weight springs that 1RC offers, they will come in handy with tuning.

    @@jbtricklerc thank you JB! I’ll be running a sprint this weekend. Updated the servo, have the short spring kit, and the track has all the adjustable links that are offered and the other hop up parts too. Going to be a fun time at GRRC in Grand Rapids Michigan.

    I'm honestly not 100% sure. I've never measured it. Maybe someone that knows will reply. Or may have to scale guess as it based on known dimensions of the RC cars.

    Honestly, I'm not 100% sure. I never got an official measurement. If you consider the foam squares to be 10" X 10" or 12" X 12" (they offer both sizes) you could probably get a safe rough estimate if you count the squares.

    Would you setup these 1RC cars as you would for racing on asphalt or would it be the same for racing on dirt.

  • @jbtricklerc

    @jbtricklerc

    2 жыл бұрын

    SIMCOMotorsportsTV that's a really good question. I know these are a bit more limited to what you can do within the rules and etc. But they do have little shim clips for the spring/shock adjustment and such. I haven't personally raced or tuned on them yet so I couldn't really say for sure honestly. But even on dirt oval racing, in high bite situations (which are common for us around here), its almost like racing on asphalt. Also the chassis of these little 1RC cars are built to be more true to the big cars just in 1/18 scale as well.
