The recent Final Jeopardy questions are either ridiculously easy to answer, like this one, or worded so strangely that they're impossible.
Whenever the category is Literary Characters, I always say Scrooge ahead of time, figuring someday I’ll be right…so I had the question before the answer was given!
If the host says "of course" for a correct final jeopardy response that kind of means that is unworthy of final jeopardy. This was more fit for a celebrity tournament

I don't think so. Ken knows how they all did before revealing the responses to the audience, so the "of course" is really more of a tip that they all got it. I think you're reading too much into it.
seriously? the lack of difficulty control on FJs is frustrating
Wow that was easy. Even if you never read it, you’ve probably seen one of the adaptations?

Yeah, and last count there have been 8,742 (I always liked the Mr. Magoo one).

Yeah or at least be familiar with the tale through pop culture. This is such an obvious answer
Congratulations grant on becoming a new jeopardy champion
J has options available, depending on who is ahead and who they feel viewers want to win. An easy Q for when the fav is winning and a hard one when not.
Recognized the name, so knew it immediately.
Easy one
Easy peasy...

I feel they shouldn’t have won without writing the full name: Ebenezer Scrooge. How do we know they don’t mean Scrooge McDuck?

They probably just assumed it's common sense that Scrooge McDuck isn't from the 19th century

i’m being fully honest, i didn’t actually know the answer but i said “scrooge mcduck” to myself as a joke because that felt like something he would do and i was shocked seeing “who is scrooge” being correct

Probably because McDuck isn't a literary character but a cartoon one.
I got this Final Jeopardy! clue right.
Oh yeah this was easy!

Yeah, yeah... but THIS particular question spoiled itself. TOO easy.
Grant is a new jeopardy champion 🎉
Pathetically easy
Spoiler barrier
Not only does Jennings have all the personality of a turnip, he apparently can't do basic math. He said Stuart had a $1 lead over the woman when it was a $2 difference. They need a better host.

If you actually watched the video again instead of jumping right into the comments section, you’d know that Ken said “it gives him $13,201, a $1 lead right now over Grant DeYoung” (who is not the woman)

@@masterdoge987 I listened to the video while doing other things. I did not know the contestants' names and since Jennings is so lacking in personality and clear speech it sounded like he was talking about the woman he'd just been talking to. I thought he said 'Grace', not knowing the one guy's name was 'Grant'. Regardless, Jennings sucks as the host. He is often rude and condescending. Alex Trebek is probably rolling over in his grave.
Scrooge was the first character that came to mind
Ebenezer Scrooge.
