    You'd be better off buying the same platform with the extended flat bed so you'd have less to 'throw away' and more money in your pocket for the conversion. Plain flat beds are a dime a dozen compared to these service trucks which are specialised and thus fetch more.

    If you put it it series you double the voltage as a result the device would be getting twice the voltage which would make it spin faster. If it's in parallel the voltage remains the same but the appliance just has a back up supply.

    hey man! nice blitzen! on another note, I just saw an ex-firetruck imported from Japan driven by a contractor and its still got all the writing all over like aichi ken fire department #5 etc. actually it doesn't turn anyone's head at all these trucks look perfectly fitted for the job and the environment. that one only caught my eyes coz it was red with red steel wheels so it's very...bright red.

    Split rims dont go in a cage to take them apart as the air pressure must be released first which eliminates the risk. Filling up a tire on a split rim requires a safety cage to catch the ring in the event there is s catastrophic failure. Most big truck shops are equipped to handle split rims but it is best to change them to standard tubeless rims/tires.........i want a dual cab 4x4 myself so will be watching your auction site.

    Batteries in parallel you get same voltage as one battery but twice the amps, series you get twice the voltage but same amps as one battery. So series will make the fan spin faster.

    Question about things you find in vehicles such as gloves and cigarette butts, when you find things that are left in cars do you remove them prior to shipping, or leave them in the vehicle? I read somewhere that Rivsu I believe ran into some issues with customs and cigarette butts left in the ashtray.

  • @PacificCoastAuto

    @PacificCoastAuto

    7 жыл бұрын

    We remove all the cigarette butts and have a company at the port wash the vehicle s(for Canada and the USA). If the cars are dirty, customs makes you clean it at a bio-secure facility and it is over $1000. Things like gloves are often just left in the car. There are some threads online about strange things found in imported cars.

  • @exogator

    Depends on the vehicle weight, but my boss has a dihatsu delta a bit bigger than that with probably 3 ton carry capacity and we've had 5 ton of wood on the back and a 2 ton bobcat in tow on a 1 ton plant trailer. So basically as much as you feel safe to tow hah, if it doesn't move or pushes you when using the breaks, safe to say it's overloaded xD

    *That one little crack about the door locks. "It doesn't have Central unlocking, you have to unlock them 80's style." That is a bunch of BS!! I was driving then, my car had Central locking/unlocking, my mom's car was from 1974 it had Central locking/unlocking as a matter of fact the majority of all the cars in the 80's had Central locking/unlocking doors!!!!* *Maybe you should've said 50's or 60's but not 80's that's insulting!! I'll give you a break since you're just a young pup!!!* *_Take care and God bless you my friend!!!_*

    I'm not that young any more. I have reached the dreaded "middle ages". All my 1980s and (prior cars) had no central locking Mini Celica Corolla GT-S Camry Toyota 4x4 Pickup Niva That's right, I owned a Niva...lol The same thing goes with most Japanese manufacturers. Central locking has been around for a while but there are plenty of 80s cars that didn't have it.

    PacificCoastAuto love your response man. Anyway, according to my experience owning Japanese vehicle, even cars built in early 90s doesn't have one as standard. But it was common for dealer to add them later. It was PnP universal module that fit every car or brand. It uses driver's lock as master and slave the rest of the locks. Modern locking system uses switch and independent to driver side lock.

    Limited slip hubs?............. I think that doesn't exist.

  • @PacificCoastAuto

    @PacificCoastAuto

    7 жыл бұрын

    It was too much stupid in my head when speaking.. One of the problems with shooting these in one take. I often say stupid things, but don't want to back up and re-shoot the video. Limited slip is another way to do the same thing but locks at the differential. Some 4WD cars have full locking differentials with no slip and some have limited slip. Cars with manual hub locks will not have diff locks on the same axle. Hub locks can come in manual (mostly better) or auto locking (usually worse). I meant that the manual ones are better than the auto ones because they are more dependable when you need them.

    2001 tires and you made this video in 2016 which makes those tires OLD and not safe. Tires older than seven years should not be put into use especially when the vehicle has been parked outdoors its entire life. Those tires at the time of your video were easily seven years past their safe life.
