//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
One of the lesser-known JDM imports, this double cab Hiace has all the charm of a VW Doka with Toyota's renown reliability. For starters, this rig clocks merely 14,000 original miles (22,000 kilometers). It's powered by the 2L model 2.4 liter diesel engine, 5-speed manual transmission, and true 4wd high and low range. With 4-doors and seating for six, the rear bench seat folds up to allow for additional inside storage space.
The cab and chassis undercarriage are in very good shape. The body has a few dents and blemishes (see pics). With the 2” lift and new 30" BFG KO2 all-terrain tires, this unique go-anywhere adventure mobile is road-trip-ready.
Consistent with all the vehicles we produce, the truck has received a full maintenance update:
• timing belt
• cam and crankshaft oil seals
• water pump
• thermostat
• radiator cap
• coolant flush
• idler and tensioner pulleys
• all main drive belts
• fuel filter
• air filter
• driveline lube
• transmission oil
• front and rear differential oil
• transfer case oil
• motor oil and filter
• timing cover gasket
• valve cover gasket
• steering alignment
• front sway bar bushings
• all new coolant hoses
• all new fuel lines
• new tires
• front and rear shocks
• rear u-bolts
All systems are functional, and the rig is ready to drive cross county right now.
Price: $27,000

This is a nice truck but the rear bumper will be a PITA when out wheeling. I have an ‘88 with no rear bumper like that.

I'm in the process of getting one of these imported. Any tips or gotchas I should watch out for as far as getting it registered in the US and having it be road legal?
