What a clean truck! Love my '99 GMC 2500 Suburban... 7.4 will pass anything on the highway but a gas station!

I had a 98 3/4 ton Suburban with the 7.4L and 42-gallon gas tank. I made the unfortunate mistake of selling it. I had so many great outdoor adventures in that rig. It was a great ride. The 3/4 ton was a heavy vehicle which was a beast in the snow. I pulled a lot of people out of ditches and snowbanks over the years. However, it burned through front brakes quickly with very little wear on the rears. In retrospect, I should have had a qualified brakes specialist get the rear drum brakes adjusted properly.

Love my 1998 454 2500 suburban! No break problems, but I normally am towing horses so the trailer does the breaking

I have the same make and model with 175k. Best vehicle I have ever owned. Super easy to work on myself. MPG sucks but with 42 gal tank the range is 600 miles.

Nice find! You did a great job modifying it--as usual. 👍 The only thing I don't like about this year range is that the spare is inside rather than under-mounted.

There are pluses and minuses for the spare mounted that way. Personally I am happy with the interior mount and prefer it for two reasons. First - I travel solo most of the time and if you need to change a tire, a 10 ply All Terrain tire like these Falkens are HEAVY. A lot easier to deal with than trying to drop and re-install under the vehicle. Second - having the tire inside the vehicle allowed the factory to fit a 42 gallon fuel tank, which really extends the range of the vehicle and gives you a lot of options when you are offroad versus having fuel cans. As you can see in the video, the tire does take up space, but it doesn't intrude into the main cargo space - instead it fits inline with the rest of the interior. Overall, I a pleased with it personally. Oh - and while I am talking tires - these Falken Wildpeaks are the first time I have had anything from Falken. They are very, very quiet on the highway - basically no sound intrusion into the cabin. Also, as I mentioned in my main comment to this video, I drove cross country through a couple of blizzards and high winds - they were very stable and performed really well in the snow. I am very pleased with them so far!

@@nickfohl6110 I love my Wildpeak tires, too. I really do appreciate the spare being under my Suboverland because I will be living fulltime out of it. I needed all of the cargo space for my build-out. Lol. Regardless of where my spare is located, it's highly unlikely that I can change a tire on my rig. They outweigh me. I'm skinny and not super strong, so I would need someone to help me. 🤦‍♀

Another great burb. Did I hear you say you put a limited slip diff in the rear? Didnt all burbs come with a G80?

Thanks. Not all came with a g80. A lot did but definitely not all. This one was an open diff when we purchased it.

Love your walk around videos. Was checking your site and couldn't find the swing out tire carrier you used to make for these. Do you still make them? I have a 98 1500 Suburban!

Does anyone know if the hidden front winch mount will work on a 99 K2500 Burb? looking to do the hidden winch with a 12k winch and put the RC 6" suspension lift on.
