Improve Performance. If you own a 1999- 2004 Ford Mustang (Cobra & Mach 1) and are looking to increase performance, you need the BBK Ceramic Long Tube Headers. This header is made by BBK and will be quality parts. These long tubes are rated up to 700HP. These headers, will free up power and give you a deeper sound. This setup will drop your boost, 1-2 pounds due to increase efficiency. These headers will change the tone, giving it a more aggressive sound. It is highly recommended to install a tuner for maximum performance. Made of steel, instead of stainless steel these headers will save you money. The headers are covered in durable ceramic, preventing overheating. If you install this header, you will have to adjust your mid-pipe as the factory style will no longer work. Overall, if you are looking for a complete overhaul of the factory Mustang’s sound and don’t want to break the bank, then this BBK Ceramic Long Tube Header is for you.
Installation. The installation for this part is fairly straightforward but can be time consuming depending when you are installing it. Usually, when installing this part you are doing this with the BBK mid-pipe, making this project a day long job at the shop. However, for whatever reason if this just an installation of this particular part, then the installation will take you all day. In general, you will need a variety of tools, so if you don’t have these in your possession it is recommended to take this job to the shop.

Oh it's a two hour install American Muscle....if the engine is already out and the old headers off.
deciding between these or the mac Lt for my mach 1 , got bbk ceramic for my 3v had for 3 years still good , but a little rust where it connects to the midpipe, I think from getting the coating scratched off
I just purchased some LH from AM I already had my engine out thought it would be a easy install looks like I'm going to have to drop the k-mem on my 03 cobra because there's no way I can get them on. I'm referring to the driver side that steering shaft is in the way.

Longtubes are a PAIN to install. I love them, but I hate ever having to install them. We wouldn't lie to ya! - WIll

As I'm sure you know, the install on Longtubes is not an easy one! It takes a huge chunk of time and is fairly expensive. Not to mention, the sound would vary greatly depending on the mid pipe/ catback combination we went with. It would be like comparing apples to oranges after spending hours installing it! Hope this clears it up. -Will
