Love your content, especially the 70’s and 80’s bikes. Would love to see a video on the history or rear suspension, especially the evolution from twin shock to single shock and how the different designs were different

Could you make a video covering the different generations or eras of bikes and what signified one era to another form the previous Era? I have limited knowledge of the the subject, my first bike was a 1974 yamaha 80, then I had an 1982 kdx 80, followed by an 81 RM 125, then finally a 6 year old 1986 cr 250. I would classify the eras as I see them as: pre early 70s, early 70s to mid 70s, 75 to 80, 81 to 83, 84 transition to 1989, 1990 to 2007, 2007 to the present. I would love to hear your overview of what you think delineatws the different generations of MX bike evolution. Too my 49 year old eyes an 85 and newer bike is modern and attractive bike, but that is somewhat subjective. Thank you for your great channel.

Always enjoy your classic reviews, especially Hondas😃✌️I had the 1992 cr 125 it was a rocket, then wanted a green bike I bought the kx 125 from 1998, it was slow but great suspension. I now own a 1999 CR 500 since 2001😊 Still these first alloy bikes are sexy still with the classic HPP engine, though slow. Bikes before 2003 I like the most😁

I had a 96 steel frame cr125 with an fmf rev pipe. I loved that bike it was like a light switch with the power delivery. My buddies 98 had a bit better bottom end but was a dog up top

Hey, I love watching your videos, and I have watched a lot of them. I was wondering if you could do a classic bike review on the 1991 Yz250. I have a 91 Yz250 and would love to see you do a video on one.

After a few years as a teen not having a bike. In late 98 i bought this used 86 cr125 i wish i still had today. It had pro circuit everything even they trick swingarm and alloy subframe they offered. I have not see another one like it since. I saved up all of 99 n early '00. And I bought my first brand new bike that summer a 01 CR125. It was a real disappointment. After finally getting it jetted right it was ridiculously rich stock. I kept wondering where's the fabled honda power? It ran a lot like your 99 mid only flat off the bottom end. And just made noise up top. Mods didn’t really make much difference. Sure it handled good n had good ergo's. But my old 86 i still had was faster! So i saved up enough to afford trading it in on a 02 yz125 the next summer. Like you said the yz125 felt like a big bore cheater bike. First time i rode on the track i hit this one double like i would on the cr and nearly looped my new yz out. After racing it in arenacross all winter. I let one guy i had been racing against in 125 beg ride it who had an 01 cr125. He showed up with a new 03 ktm 125sx a couple months later. The 01 cr125 was the last honda dirt bike I've owned.

I had one of these. Ugh, it was terrible! Massive under steer and no power to force it to oversteer. Constantly clutching. Good in ruts though. Too bad because it looked so cool. I seem to remember the hot fix being a 95 cylinder

At the nationals I asked an fmf mechanic and he said they used the 95 cylinder, 250 airboot and a 38mm carb. This was at Unadilla 98

Mine was actually an FMF bike that I got from Dave Simon. He used it to develop the SST pipes. Remember those? He was also responsible for the power bombs and pipe bombs for 4 strokes. Anyhoo, aside from the FMF catalogue of parts, it was stock internally aside from a Hinson clutch He tried getting me a 95 cylinder from FMF but they were running low themselves. Oh well, the bike for me and my style, was a complete dog

I had an 01 CR 125, the bike handled good, had good suspension I thought. Typical Honda quality. I didn't like the 5 speed gearbox though. I put a vforce on it with a pro circuit shorty. I went up a tooth on the rear sprocket. Definitely helped the power output to a degree.

The 97 bike was too stiff.and slow. and Honda stopped contingency money. we didn't see a honda at the MX tracks of NorCal for 2 yrs. by then honda had things sorted out.
