Also I have a goldish silver 2000 Mercedes c230 Kompressor, it came from Georgia, no rust, I live up by Chicago, so lucky to find one with no rust at all.

Random Reviews & More, Good find! Do you mind if I be so nosy as to ask the miles and cost? I’m looking at a 220 myself. Check out the vehcor channel. He’s a talented mechanic and collision technician in the Chicago area. He recently uploaded a great video on rust proofing after a collision repair. You could use the information from the video to maybe do rustproofing yourself, even if you don’t plan to drive it in bad weather. 👍🏻

This is going to be my first car :) cant wait to drive it.

Old cars are easy to tune and modify, thats why i like it. Its great driving this car, mine is a 1995. Until now, nothing has break

Hello Keith, Im considering buying a c180 like yours. I dont live in the UK, i live in Lebanon, & here most people drive either a benz or a beamer. However i was told buy a really tall taxi driver once that this c180 is a great spacious and economic car. im 190cms in height, the driver who told me so was 210cm in height, 20 cm difference might not sound alot, but when you exceed 2 meters it is. i need some feedback from you, do you advise me to get a c180 when it comes down to my height situation? here that car model is still worth 8000$ because its a mercedes, economic and you have the option of driving this over a kia picanto or hyundai I10, straight out of the company, i had a saab 94 900s before, my other option is either the same saab, a 9000cse or a 94 used accord, from your experience, do you recommend the benz or other options? thanks man

What I like about this W202 is 100% GERMAN. Not like what they sell now. I own a second one but I will advise you buy 2 winter tyres to be fitted during winter and removed say around March and return your all weather tyres because these W202 are rear wheel drive hence they struggle for handling when it snows. Apart from this issue I honestly can't fault this W202. FEW ADVISE: once they cover over 100.000 miles please change your automatic transmission fluid/filter, power steering oil, fuel filter, cabin filter. (except where you can tell they have been change) I can assure you these are pretty simple DIY jobs and I them myself including my brakes and service. 10Q

The wiring harness problem affects Mercedes-Benz cars from 1992 until 1996. Both petrol and diesel-powered W202 cars are affected too. The components that could potentially malfunction because of a damaged wiring harness are fuel injection, starter, alternator, throttle actuator and the ECU. A faulty wiring harness can disable the car, and it is a potential fire risk. The typical symptoms of a failing harness are electrical errors, problems with starting the engine, poor running and rough idle. Before buying a 1993-1996 Mercedes-Benz W202, check if the harness has already been replaced. Otherwise, you will have to replace it yourself.

Hi Keith Thanks for the reply I've just fitted new chrome door pins resprayed the boot parking sensors a 7"dvd cd audio and I think this weekend I will start on the wheels I've got new dust caps and wheel centres. I will take a look at the vidios and subscribe. Keep up the good work Derick

I live in america and I never seen a Benz or bmw with cloth seats. Guess they figure it isn’t worth selling cheap versions to us.

I think about buying 1998 model c 180 with 260 000 km. Mercedes fever is over the top because i have only had japanese front wheel drive shit boxes. C series is just better to go for as daily driver for me because i have to drive bad roads and if i break c 180 it isnt the end of world but if i break e series mercedes i would be so sad 😅😅

Mechanically it's a brilliant car but these cars rust. They all go on the floors, wings, boot/tailgate and doors. Mind you if you find a decent one your good.
