米国「20世紀フォックス社」の人気映画「エイリアン」と「プレデター」の2作品をミックスした格闘アクションゲーム。ストーリーはアメリカのダークホースコミック社のコミック版をベースにしたカプコンオリジナルとなっている。内容は異星の戦闘種族「プレデター」と軍の戦闘サイボーグの2人が、大発生したエイリアンに立ち向かうというもの。登場するキャラクターごとに能力は異なるが、ゲームをやりこんでいくとそれぞれに独自の攻略テクニックが見つかり、そこが多くのプレイヤーを惹きつけることとなった。攻撃は地上でのコンボ攻撃に加えて、ジャンプ攻撃での追い打ち攻撃が可能。さらに、銃火器も標準装備されている。敵エイリアンが一度に大量に登場する為からか、難易度が高いように思われる作品だが、横スクロールアクションゲームとしての完成度は非常に高く名作として語られることが多い。
ストーリー:
エイリアンの大発生。かつてない恐怖が、独立海上都市「サン･ドラド」に降りたった。軍の戦力として現地に向かったリンとシェーファーの2人は、そこで別の生物と遭遇する。 ･･･プレデター。今や人類の存亡は、この異形の戦士の行動ひとつに委ねられている。

Because nowadays Hollywood studios tries to appeal to widest paying crowd to maximize profits and now this crowd includes teenagers. And there is problems, you need to get corresponding ration to allow teenagers in cinema. And getting that rating in turn means maximally soft and toothless movie with minimum of blood, violence and so on. Additionally studios afraid of "pissing off" any minority of social group so...you get that you get - wave of crappy sequels or impotent remakes and cash-in reboots.
Schaefer's charge attack is what I sound like when I stub my toe

You can play on your andriod phone or smart tv. App "Mame for andriod". Need to download the rom yourself though.

自分もよくやってました ( ﾟ∀ﾟ) たまにゲーセンでレトロゲームコーナーなんてあったら今でも置いてないか見に行くぐらいに好きですよ ( ﾉ^ω^)ﾉ
ぶっちゃけ映画のＡＶＰはクソ&胸糞のひでぇ出来だったし、原作コミックも微妙だったらしいから原作超えした珍しい例と言える気がする… プレデターも卑怯だったり理不尽な面子が多い中、カプコン版プレさんらは数少ない良心

This game is too easy. Needs too be a remix HD remake of this on all consoles. Would be awesome. Capcom Arcade stick supposed too be having included,but haven't heard much on it after it was announced few months ago.

Fuck regional codes on fuckin video games. Thank you so much for posting this. Some of the best games are half the world away and its fuckin bushit I can't enjoy a port of this or any other ( Japan only ) arcade style game. Avp is ameican franchise anyway what the fuck is it doing over their.
