Sounds fantastic. 8 string looks and sounds great and the guitar & amp combo for metal tones is hard to beat 4 sure. Thank you for the review and I hope to see that 8 string released soon because I want to see what your USA will come out to be, but whatever it is, it looks and sounds killer. Great job.

I agree. The model john is playing in this video looks nearly identical to the TAO. Minus the lack of a tone pot & chrome pickup pole screws. This model was most likely a prototype & I doubt we'll ever see It in mass production. But I love the purple burst top! On second thought, I think I recall john saying, "schecter got this guitar right on the first try" when he was speaking on the TAO's release. So I could be wrong

@@JohnBrownemonuments I was already looking at a USA merrow solely because I wanted a qatsi and they're almost unobtainable in the US below 4 grand, so I guess it was just perfect timing that you changed over to what I was already looking at with a better guitar I'm fully expecting to be back on the ramen diet once a USA production model inevitably comes

Baso - Mayones stopped producing the bridge that browne used for his 7/8 string sigs, so he fucked them off and joined schecter who provided a similar spec model

it was a good decision to keep my peavey 50/50 poweramps apparently, the synergy syn 5050 is not to great at all imo...i`m also looking forward to hear how it sounds with the syn 50 head when it will be available in the EU in 2025!? 🥺

Could also be that the 5150 head is configured with a tad bit more negative feedback than the synergy counterpart. At least sounds like it!

Man, your ears are pretty finely tuned! What are you hearing that leads you to this conclusion? Is negative feedback adjustable, like bias? Asking both in a general sense but wondering if it relates to the internal three position switch on these modules.

Silly question (Absolutely love the tone and how it sounds, absolutely fat!) But off topic! Where the hell do you get your AWESOME trousers Browne? Keep seeing you wear them and become more and more eager to get my hands on some! Best guitarist in the game in my opinion, massive fan and hope to see you live one day!

I'm the guy using the 5150 and 6505 for the clean channel. I mean, not just for that of course, but for my stoner band, it's hard to beat the clean of my 6505 as a pedal platform for preamps and overdrives!

Seem’s good, but I’m a 70s born guy, and no matter what I just can’t get used to a guitar that is tuned to, or sound’s like a bass guitar plugged into a guitar amp. Each to their own. 🤘

Nope completely stock. Pretty sure the tubes are quite old in it too.

He's mentioned the original prototype has this burst finish but they simplified it on the production model for better consistency.

I think it must be a prototype; Since the headstock is marked "Diamond Series", Schecter puts this on their import models, it's a shame it's not available because it looks amazing!

Now I had to fire up my 800 and put it on 6 6 6, because metal.

why did i sell my 5150 mk1 ? i d o n o t k n o w . Back then a maid fed the amp with a can of beer,,,,, and unbelievably Peavy repaired it for free! A true raw beast of an amp!

The housing is so overpriced for the module. They should've made the housing around £150, then people would be far more inclined to buy more modules.
