Del Ballard, Jr is one of the most underrated PBA players. He is the toughest in the big events, especially the majors. He's won two U.S. Opens, Firestone T of C, and the ABC (now USBC Masters) The only missing major of his resume is the PBA Championship.

The overhead cam really exposes Ted Hannahs' enormous drift in his approach!!!

Someone told me that for this tournament, they oiled the lanes to about 50 feet, and then they took a towel from 10 board to 10 board and wiped the lane back to the arrows. Everyone was left and lofting it to the 7th arrow, but Walter Ray was straight up the 10 board and led the tournament by some 500 pins. Then they didn’t wipe the lanes on the telecast, which is why Ballard was able to dominate, but wrwj was screwed over. He also told me that it was impossible to shoot a 10 pin in the conventional, cross lane way, but you had to let the ball hydroplane up the 5 board. Incredible story he told me, was wondering if anyone can confirm.

Sounds like Dale had to qualify for the finals on that lane conditions Walter talked about. Dale had to figure out the telecast conditions and Walter didn’t, no sour grapes there nice Job Dale. Maybe that’s why Dale a ball rep and Walter still wearing a mask and bowling.

He sure was. I saw a recent picture of him...he had cancer and is looking bad. Hope he's fully recovered.

Del Ballard Jr puts a tremendous amount of roll on the ball.

I’ve spent the entire weekend trolling your inane comments. Honestly, it’s exhausting and you are wiping out the battery on my iPad.

Was Westlake throwing a Track Nuke? Loved that ball until she cracked in the trunk of my car. Had a 297 with that ball won me a cool $1,000.00
