It's a shame all the cool cars are banned from US, or have ridiculous importation paperwork.

These are not banned in anyway... They are over 25 year old and importable normally and registrable like any other car in 48 out of 50 states (California and Hawaii have their own emission regulation and even though they are registrable there, it costs about 5000$ per car for it to be be CA legal and well, it's not really worth it when the car is worth 8000$ in the first place...) I am not sure where you read or heard such rumor but it is simply not true. 90% of the sports keicars we sell go to the US. The importation is also very easy with the help of a broker and we help our customers through the whole process :)
